The room needed a mirror near a socket to be able to use a hair dryer, there was only a mirror in the bathroom and no socket . The bar closed at 9 pm maybe because we stayed midweek maybe at weekend it’s busier ?

Breakfast was very good location is excellent and very beautiful. The hotel is very welcoming and comfortable.

The chefs smoking at the back door, it didn’t bother me but if I owned this hotel there would be no chance of that happening, I would expect it will put people off so I would find a solution to that.

No specific dislikes. Prefer walk-in showers rather than shower within a bath - but not a deal breaker. Mattress springs were pronounced, but slept well. WiFi improvements are ongoing

Wifi connection didn't quite extend to my hotel room. TV channels are a bit limited on the TV. The option to use streaming services was impossible because of a lack of internet connection.

The bed was comfortable and I had a brilliant nights sleep. The staff were friendly, easy to talk to and knew how to provide a great service. The setting is spectacular being nestled in between a river and a canal with the railway just above. Finally, the food at both dinner time and breakfast was fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The only downfall is the parking not much space on the main level one carpark level 2 has lots of steps to it hard with the bags but this can’t be helped with the location of the hotel and it’s definitely worth it to be riverside.

Had a lovely stay the rooms must of been recently renovated so bathroom and room was lovely and so clean. Lovely friendly staff and lovely food and such beautiful surroundings.

It's an old building, so it was noisy ( could hear people talking/ the words they were saying) in the rooms adjacent to ours. Still worth it though!

We booked a table at the restaurant for our evening meal, unfortunately quite a few choices were unavailable.

We splashed out and booked a room with a balcony overlooking the river. The view was spectacular. Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly.

I know everybody has different requirements but we both found the bed a bit uncomfortable

Parking was awful. We had to use the top lot the entire time. Hauling luggage was a challenge. The WiFi was also an issue. Also, our bathroom toilet when flushed would make a horrific noise - sounded like air in the pipes. I am surprised we didn’t wake the whole hotel up.

The views were amazing! The staff was wonderful and couldn’t be more helpful.

Superb location right by the canal with views of the Horseshoe Falls. Close to Llangollen by car and on foot if you like walking which we do. Very friendly staff, very cosy room and excellent breakfast.

The lock on our room broke, and we were stuck for 15 mins. There was nobody at reception to help, and at the time there was no wifi ( it is still being installed ) we used a nail file to fix the offending screw and get out of of our room. The hotel did come and fix it straight away after we complained.
