Funny chemical type smell inside and directly outside the room not enough of a hazard to report to staff

Signs in the food hall to give clarity which way round to walk to get the food would make it smoother and less chaotic. People going all different ways with hot food and drinks seemed not organised and was slightly stressful during the busy breakfast. As you went up the stairs the hotel got warmer and warmer. Thankfully we had air conditioning in the room but if some rooms don’t then it would’ve been stifling.

The bed was so comfortable and we enjoyed the tea and coffee. The shower was powerful and hot too ! Check in desk was happy and polite at both check in and out. Breakfast rooms were beautifully decorated and clean. The food was very impressive!

The spa is truly awful I’m afraid. The paintwork around the hotel was tired and needed attention too.

The building has a faded grandeur and is very pretty. The breakfast was absolutely gorgeous and the staff very friendly. Our room was very pretty, clean and comfy. Lovely grounds.

Lift was not working so I could not see the swimming pool and other amenities. There was no cabinet in the bathroom or even a shelf to store a toiletry bag or toothbrush. Similarly, there was no shelving in the shower to store shampoo, soap, cloths etc. As a wheelchair user, the road leading into the hotel was tricky to navigate as there are a number of potholes and rough patches. The surrounding pavements leading into the village need work. Some pavements dont slope down to the ground, forcing you onto the road for a small stretch. Other times the shrubbery has grown into the walkway, making it difficult to get by. The areas where the pavement does slope down to the ground have poor drainage meaning massive puddles of water accumulate there.

I stayed in the wheelchair accessible room and it was spacious and included a wetroom/walk in shower room + toilet combined and had grab rails around the toilet. The bed was also nice and high, which was great as I struggle to stand up from a low bed. The door to enter the room was also light weight and easy to open on my own.

All the staff were professional and welcoming and were happy to help with any questions I had. I highly recommend Burnham Beeches to guests who prefer a country manor-style hotel with acres of green pasture.

The changing rooms for the pool feel dirty and are falling apart. Felt like a public swimming pool with very old showers. Desperately need a re-fit as not in keeping at all with rest of hotel.

Loved the room, actual pool, jacuzzi and sauna were lovely and not too busy. Breakfast was really good. I was given an upgrade which was a nice bonus for my birthday.

The view from the room was none existent as all you cold see was the roof of the building below and also the heater fans woke us up during the night

If staying more than one night the gluten free menu was very limited. Bathroom door wouldn’t close and only one double plug away from the bed.

The bell on the front door wasn't working - and it is very high -As wheelchair user travelling alone it would be great if this could be fixed. I was told reception is manned 24/7 however when I was knocking on the door the person at reception didn't hear me - Another guest opened the door for me.

Room was a good size and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Coffee, tea and biscuits were available. A very good selection of breakfast whether full English or Continental. Everything was self service so easy to get up and get it yourself.

The car park & drive a bit rough. I know the weather wasn’t great when we were there (very wet & windy) but had an issue spotting the pot holes due to flooding!!

We didn’t have breakfast as we only booked the room. We were visiting friends & had booked to go out for dinner & breakfast with them! The room was very nice, clean & modern. Staff all very nice. We also got this for a very good price for one night, so v.happy, thank you 😊
