The hotel was obviously housing people not hotel guests. People were cooking in their rooms. People outside drinking in a group. He receptionist was a unkempt man

No meals on site except a continental breakfast.. Sadly no hot water so couldn't shower. Only window did not close.. Well it did but took a lot of pulling and lifting to get it to close.. when it was room got exceptionally hot

Shower pressure was poor, water dribbled out, which was disappointing. Information about breakfast times, incorrect from QR code provided within rooms. Windows had no curtains or blinds.

It sets itself out currently as a 3-star hotel. I'm not sure if that can actually be justified - granted, it is currently undergoing some work. However, there is no evening meal provision, nor hot food offering at breakfast. The website states ironing facilities in the room, which there were not. Water pressure for the shower wasn't great, though I imagine that's due to the age of the building. The stay itself was fine and doesn't need any complaint, but important for people to be aware that if they expect a 3-star hotel, they're not going to get it currently. We paid £86 for one night, and I'm just not sure the price is justifiable. I had previously attended a wedding there a few years ago and stayed the night then, and looking now at damaged walls in corridors, with bits hanging off, I think it's safe to say there hasn't been a great deal of upkeep so hopefully the work going on now will bring it back to something good.

The staff were lovely. Rooms were basic, but as we stayed due to a wedding nearby, we didn't spend too long in the room or hotel itself. The toiletries provided were Dove handwash and shampoo/shower gel (at least that's what the bottles secured to the walls said!) There were no kitchen facilities for hot food, but the hotel did still put on a continental buffet breakfast, so there was some offering of food in the morning- cereals, yogurt, toast, jams, mini pastries, tea and coffee.

Perfect location. Destiny on Reception was an absolute star. The room was very clean and comfortable and the beds one of the comfiest we've ever slept in.

Internet it a bit flaky at time p- enough for Netflix, but we suspect if the hotle was busy, it wouldnt cope.

The hotel is in the process of reopening and while hot food is not yet available, its clean, tidy and quiet (thanks to the triple glazing on the windows). Everywhere has been repainted, and as we were staying, dozens of new beds were delivered.

having stayed at this hotel before, expected continental breakfast as well as cooked breakfast but this time only received continental breakfast. This had no meats or cheeses. After complaining about this, the manager did refund the price of our breakfast. This hotel has just reopened, but I think it should have remained closed until they could provide a better food service The website also needs updated as the pictures do not reflect the actual state of hotel at this moment although the new manager is trying hard to improve this hotel. Just hope Best Western give him the budget to do this.

Staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable so slept well.
