How breakfast was served eg having to go and get hot drinks or tomato ketchup. Would have liked another cover on the bed so didn’t have to have heating on. Room number not on the door. It had a name but we were told to find 150. So we got lost walking up and down. Would have helped if reception had told us the room name.

Despite a large car park, there was nil spaces on our arrival due to patrons of the leisure club picking up children from swim sessions.

We arrived to be told that they had a wedding and would be noisy, and it was until midnight. We asked for a quiet room which was a waste of time. If we had been told we definitely would not have booked. Paid money to get no sleep.

Fitness classes started shortly before 8am on a weekend, and you can hear it loud and clear in your room. No chance of sleeping beyond that. The shower had barely any water pressure and shower head didn't hold in place. I did tell the reception staff and they took note to fix it.

Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The fitness facilities are really nice. Polite and helpful staff, especially the breakfast staff. Very good breakfast.

Spa not on first night, showers were cold in pool area. Food wasn't great.. chips undercooked .. lasagne burnt and hard .. not expected from a 4star tbh.

We had to ask for refills for the tea, milk etc in our room. They were not refilled automatically. We were bombarded with emails before our visit. I think the same one was sent five times. It was a welcome email, info about the hotel and advice to book a table in the restaurant or bar. I did this and was then pestered to confirm the booking more than once.

The room was comfortable. The breakfast was brilliant. There was a huge choice and everything was delicious.

The first room we had the tap & radiator in the bathroom were broken. We did mention it and straight away were offered to move rooms, but it was a minor inconvenience really, so we said we were fine, but the room was actually really noisy as we could hear the floorboards squeak everyone someone walked past or moved in the upstairs room, and there was intrusive noise, which we think may have been from the bar below, but possibly someone's TV in the next room, so we didn't sleep too well the first night.

The hotel and room were really clean, the staff were friendly, and the leisure complex was a lovely addition. The location was perfect for us visiting family in Carlisle. We will stay again on our next visit. We were offered to move rooms when we mentioned the tap and radiator were broken, but as it was a minor inconvenience we declined, however, having found the room to be noisy overnight, we asked to move in the morning and were given a different room on the next floor up, which, although smaller, was much quieter for us.

Railway station is right behind the hotel which can be loud but would not stop me staying again.

A bit disappointed with the bed, just a little small and soft for us, a bit noisy at night (guests returning to their rooms). And the bacon for breakfast was not what we were expecting.

We thought the location was amazing, staff incredible helpful. The food was absolutely delicious, hope we can return. Visit it if you can, enjoy the facilities and soak up the atmosphere. Meet some lovely locals and other guests.
