On the day of check in I had to contact the property twice for access details, they assured me emails and texts had been sent which was incorrect. For a property of this calibre I would have expected drinking water to be supplied, as every pub and previous accommodation we stayed in had done. For a 2 night stay, inadequate tea, coffee & sugar provisions.

Would be nice to have some basic cooking ingredients (salt, oil etc). Vacuum didn’t work. No elevator (mentioned in many previous reviews)

It was 3 flights up a winding staircase! I only really found it challenging when checking in and out and carrying my luggage! Otherwise, it was just "exercise".

There was no key. I was sent a code. Easy-peasy. The location of this flat was perfect--a gorgeous view of Edinburgh castle, very walkable to restaurants, shopping and attractions.

There are a few things that could be improved to make it even better. The WiFi is slow and cuts in and out at times, the speed was around 10mb/s which isn’t fast enough now. It could get a bit noisy at night as it’s right on the main road. However double glazed windows could have help and some of the shutters on the windows had big gaps in which lets in light and doesn’t block the noice as well as they could. Some minor points: The under cabinet lights in the kitchen were broken, one was hanging down. We would have liked another lamp in the living room as the main lights are very bright and the one lamp didn’t feel enough. Cleaners didn’t come as it said in the welcome guide, we had to go buy more toilet paper.

Perfect location, 5 min walk to the train station. Lots of bus and tram stops just outside. Great views of the castle and park. Nicely furnished and clean, kitchen has everything you need and good quality neff appliances.

Absolutely nothing

Location was amazing overlooking the castle beautiful views. Right on the main street for shopping and close to all historical attractions. Easy access with no issues to the apartment. Can't fault the place at all

The mattress on the bed was not comfortable for us - too hard and had back pain during the whole stay. The shower did not work properly on arrival, so we called the property and they sent a handy-man who dealt with the problem quickly. The windows are hard to open, but with practice, it gets easier ;) Would be nice to add a hanger in the corridor for the jackets. The kitchen needs more of the small daily stuff - there was no salt for example (it is a basic product), no pepper, there was a little sugar, etc. The capsules for the Nespresso coffee machine were not original - bring your own if you prefer.

The instructions were very clear - we received a code and had no issues with the access to the property. The Apartment is large and well equipped, everything was clean and the utilities were new and fresh. The heating system is great and keeps the apartment cosy and warm. We received a new set of towels after the first 3 days, which was a nice touch. The view is magnificent - we enjoyed drinking coffee/hot chocolate and admiring the castle. The location is excellent - there are few local supermarkets in walking distance, pharmacy on Princess street, just behind the corner, and many more.

Quiet a few steps to climb to get to the apartment, so not ideal if disabled and no lift.

We liked how the apartment was utilised and very clean and spacious. Ideal location for the town, museums and restaurants etc. Amazing view of the castle from the apartment. Very relaxing location and value for money.

It was in a great location, the check in was super easy and all in time, details received by email were accurate and straight forward. The apartment was modern and well equipped and spotless clean. The views from the living room were amazing

Overall, our stay was great. However, I did find the mattress a little lumpy and uncomfortable. I think it could either use a good topper or maybe it's time to be replaced. Overall, though, this was minor, and I would still recommend staying here.

The apartment was great. We had everything we needed from an ironing board to kitchen utensils. It was very, very clean and the living area was really comfortable. I also liked that there were finishing touches like paintings, ornaments, and nice cushions it really made the place feel welcoming and homely. And of course, the location and view were just incredible !

Nothing much! The stairs are quite steep but we were well aware there was no lift and the apartment we stayed in was worth it.

Check in was simple and easy, all details emailed to me a few days before our arrival. The apartment was exceptional, in an amazing location with direct views of Edinburgh Castle. It was clean, spacious and felt homely. My friend and I wished we'd booked it for a longer stay! Will definitely come back again.

Beds were a bit firm

Brilliant location, right beside stops for bus or tram from airport. Views from our flat were brilliant. Easy to access the city but away from the real tourist traps. Handy access to shops and restaurants in the area.
