The location is awesome! It’s a few steps from bus station where the highland day tour group meets. Very close to train station as well. Right next to a mall with lots of food selection. The full kitchen allowed us to cook during the stay. It’s cozy and comfortable and has everything we need.

Very close to the main attractions of the city, 3 minutes from the tram stop (if you travel by plane, you will have a direct tram line from here). The welcome video was very helpful. The flat was well equipped, cozy and comfortable for 2 persons. Excellent choice for city breaks.

Not a big issue or any fault of host but apartment was on top floor and had to carry large suitcase up flights of stairs as no access to lift. Again, no big deal and was only on arrival and leaving.

Before arriving we were sent all the information for accessing the property. A video was provided showing us exactly where everything was and how to use facilities. Such a great touch! Apartment was lovely and in an excellent location, within walking distance of everything and airport tram is right outside. Also a lovely breakfast place right on the door step. Couldn’t fault our stay!

-The wifi connection was often very weak... even a simple Google search took too long. -Windows are very thin; you hear everything going on outside! It was annoying because sometimes sleeping was almost impossible due to the 1 am construction workers of the St. James Quarter, which is directly in front of the window. Not only that, even during the daytime, from 7:30 am until 6 pm, the construction noises were loud throughout January and February. Working from home was uncomfy; I had to work in coffee shops or the library. -The apartment is somewhat overpriced. -Tidy, but not perfectly clean. For example, the fridge had lots of food stains, and the nutribullet was extremely dirty (it looks like no one bothered to clean it, so I had to). Also, there was a bag in the closet with very gross towels and used bed sheets - however, Rentir reacted quickly and had someone pick it up the same day, which I appreciated.

I stayed for almost 2 months, and I liked it a lot! -the location is simply perfect!! Very central and super safe. Everything is within walking distance. I loved staying at York Place. -There's a lovely Cafe underneath the apartment -Excellent self-check-in and check-out: received a helpful video before arrival that explained everything, wherefore it all went smooth -The staff of Rentir was always kind and accommodating + they replied fast. -The apartment is exactly like in the pictures. I felt very comfortable. -There's Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc., on the TV logged in and ready for you to use -The shopping center St. James Quarter is only 1 minute away. Very convenient. -My family visited, and Rentir provided a travel cot and clean bed sheets :) Recommend!

The only thing that I was not too keen on was the sofa bed mattress, pillows, and the duvet- seemed too thin. Saying that, I was grateful that there was a sofa bed in the apartment, and that the sheets were provided.

Very beautiful apartment. Everything was clean and easy to use. Good kitchen and shower. I liked that there was a sofa bed, tall windows, absolutely amazing oven, dish washing machine, and good water pressure. The check-in and check-out procedures were easy to follow, and the videos provided were great!

Our family stayed here for 4 nights. Everything was impeccable, from communicating with Chris, who promptly answered even our dumbest questions, to the utilities (fridge and dishwasher) and the general feel of the rooms. We loved the location: 8 min walk to the airport shuttle even working at night, 2 from the trams, 10 min to Waverley train station, 20 min walk to the Royal botanical garden and generally walking distance from what you would like to visit. We enjoyed the coziness of the space, greatly appreciated after long touring days. Right next to the doorsteps there is the nicest breakfast place, with great coffee. We would come back anytime and warmly recommend the place. Thank you, Chris!

Very noisy because of building work outside starting at 07.00 every weekday plus building work until 23:00 one night and at 02:00 on another. Initially a lack of basic kitchen equipment - just 2 very badly scratched small pans, no peeler or chopping board and only 2 of each glass and mug for our group of three. The company did provide a wonderful large frying pan after 2 days. It could still use more crockery as there wasn't really enough to fill the lovely slimline dishwasher! The shower controls were loose and neither of the bedroom side-table lamps worked. These problems were rectified within 48 hours. There were no specific instructions in the apartment on how to use the very expensive multi-heat oven. The sofa bed mattress was not inside the sofa bed. Once we found it in the utility room and put it in the sofa bed, it also made it a lot more comfortable to sit on too. The washing machine was smelly - it was impossible to leave the door open unless the utility cupboard doors were propped open. The door-closers on the utility cupboard were vicious and could have caused serious injury if you left your fingers in the way when closing both doors. There were two cupboard handles missing. There was insufficient clothes storage - missing shelf in one wardrobe and no drawers for underwear storage etc. We didn't find the spare tea-towel or loo rolls until the morning we left.

All the staff at Altido I spoke to or emailed were very helpful and prompt with their replies. The maintenance guy was very helpful. The quality of the fit out was nice. The multi-function oven was very nice once we realised it was a multi-function oven! The induction hob was excellent once we had a pan to use on it. The toilet was very nice. The cushions on the chairs were wonderfully soft. The jar of earplugs came in very handy! The WiFi was fine.

Everything! Couldn’t fault the property at all, well equipped & beautifully minimalistic. Fantastic location for exploring Edinburgh, walking distance to all attractions however also felt secluded from the busy hustle of the centre. Would love to stay here again!
