- We arrived earlier than expected, so was hoping to have a drink in the bar before check-in, but the hotel was closed, and no one answered the door. - Rooms are very old fashioned but not sure if this is the style they are going for.

- Great location in the heart of Wales, close to some lovely Welsh villages and Snowdonia. - Great breakfast that left you full, including vegetarian options. - Comfy bed and room with a view - Has everything you need with working WiFi and hot water.

We stayed at the Elen's Castle Hotel for three days and we loved it ! It is perfectly located in the center of Snowdonia in the middle of the mountains. The room was very cosy and comfortable and the owners were welcoming :). The included breakfast was a very nice touch to get ready before a day out exploring ! If you are looking for a nice B&B in the middle of the mountains with beautiful views, go for it !!

Bunk bed room smelled a little damp but turned the radiator on and opened the window which helped.

Staff more welcoming when we arrived.

The staff were not very friendly really seemed a bit grumpy. Cooked breakfast was nice, but light option not good value, too small compared to cooked.

This day and age you need sockets both sides of the bed. If that's not possible due to the room design then connect up an extension lead. Room was very small with broken legs on the bucket chairs and no chair at the desk, also the TV should be on the wall not on the side positioned desk. The door has swelled and will not close without slamming it, I'm sure our neighbours loved us coming in late, we would have woken them up trying to close our bedroom door. The door is easily fixed so shouldn't just be left to get worse. The owner did say new furniture had arrived for that room so that should sort the broken bits.

Beautiful location, great parking. The hotel was very cosy with lovely owners and an old world charm about it. It was great to have an onsite restaurant too, we had dinner there 1 evening which was nice and breakfast was good too.

It was very difficult to close the door. The floor creaks, the TV is old, there is no refrigerator, the room is more suitable for one noght and no more.

A beatiful old inn, situated very conveniently just before the busier places closer to Mt Snowdon. Great old-fashioned atmosphere throughout the place, from pub to restaurant, staircase and room. Old-fashioned in a good way! Breakfast was nice, especially to be offered on option between light (fruit, pastry) and full English. The restaurant is a good option to have when you don't feel like going anywhere.

Elen's House Hotel was in a good location for the places that we had chosen to visit during our stay. The staff were friendly and breakfast was good. The room was clean and had the facilities that we needed.

Awesome location and the evening meals were outstanding, Owners were very helpful and the local area beautiful to walk around. The WiFi was good all over the hotel which pleased my son :) Only a 10minute drive to Zip World (purpose of our visit this time)

The double bed was very unconfortable, so on the second night of our stay we moved to the other room in the suite, which instead was equipped with better mattresses. Breakfast "lighter option" is literally one banana and a pot of yogurth, so go for full English or vegan instead.

Lovely location, with beautiful view of Snowdonia and close to other tourist attractions and towns. Spacious parking facility. Well decorated hotel, with nice little touches throughout. Welcoming bar, lounge and outdoor seating areas. Owners are very affable and the place is family friendly. English breakfast and evening dinner were very tasty. We stayed in the suite, and our son was thrilled as he had his own bedroom.
