Bathroom was small and needed attention to decor

The location of the property next to the East of England show ground and with easy access to the A1 was ideal for me. The room had a Comfortable bed and was well equipped.

Room was too hot on arrival and took a bit of looking before finding the heater to adjust it. Some infusion tea bags, e.g. peppermint or red berries or lemon & ginger or maybe rooibos would be nice - only normal teabags in the room but others were available at breakfast so the hotel does have them.

Nice bright room with sofa. Bed was very comfy, nice shower. Staff friendly.

Sofa bed very uncomfortable not the best nights sleep. Mattress topper would have helped as sofabed was hard and lumpy Might be fine for kids but no good for an adult

Limited Menu for dinner. However, l ate next door at the harvester which was excellent.

Front desk staff all very helpful. My room was cold on arrival but they soon provided a powerful heater. Breakfast was good.

Woken at 2am by group having huge argument in the corridor which went on for about half an hour. In such a small hotel I would have thought security or hotel staff would have intervened.

The room got quite stuffy (no aircon) and we needed to open a window. We also had a false alarm with the fire alarm that woke us up not long after we’d gone to bed.

The venue can be a little noisy due to its location next to a busy road.

I like the way all Holiday Inn Express Hotels are clean, comfortable, plenty of hot water, and breakfast is included.

Hotel was very clean and comfortable in a quiet location not far from Peterborough centre.Staff were very welcoming and friendly.Lovely breakfast included in the price with plenty of choice.Nice touch were the "goody bags" that you could fill to eat during your days out.

I would have liked more choice at breakfast (e.g flavoured yoghurt). The hotel offered a very limited choice of evening meals, but to be fair there is a decent Harvester next door and a good Vintage Inn across the road.

Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was light and bright with a large shower and Dove shampoo, bodywash and handwash. Housekeeping came every day to make up the room, without being asked. They even noticed that the bulb in one of the bedside lights had blown the previous afternoon - I had forgotten to mention it but housekeeping spotted it and replaced the bulb. The room heating was effective and adjustable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There were little additional touches such as sweets and pens available at reception. Also cold water and a microwave for guests' use in the foyer. There was an iron, ironing board and hairdryer in the room. A notice in the room offered complimentary toothbrushes etc if needed. Breakfast was included in the room rate, and although quite basic, it was tasty and enjoyable. The hotel is happy for guests to take extra items (e.g croissants, muffins, fruit) away and provides food bags for this. They also didn't mind when we visited the dining area in the evening just to pick up green tea bags and jam. Overall we were pleasantly suprised by the hotel and its staff and felt they went the extra mile (and were cheaper) compared to Sir Lenny's hotel chain. We will certainly use Holiday Inn Express again.

That cooked food was available. Room was lovely, clean and comfortable. That there was a telephone in the room, would have been great if I needed to get help. First room to have one after staying in other so called accessible accommodation
