The hotel itself is a bit tired, it needs a refurbishment particularly in the dining room , where the tables need sanding down or replacement.

The executive rooms were excellent, the staff were attentive and friendly and a nice swimming pool. The food offering was a bit limited but tasty and we'll presented. The views are lovely.

Not a fault with the hotel but be warned if you are going to walk anywhere, the hotel is at the top of Frodsham bluff and as such walking back to the hotel after a few pints in Frodsham is not for the faint of heart.

The hotel is an old property but was spotlessly clean both in my room and the communal areas. The staff were really friendly and helpful. the room was large and had a great view over the grounds. Breakfast was delicious despite my hangover.

Slightly run down appearance in places, mould on ceiling of bathroom for example. Did not hinder our enjoyment of the stay and pros of stay (particularly very friendly and helpful staff) far outweighed any cons.

Friendliness of staff who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Very family friendly Good value, good value restaurant with great food.

There was mold in the bathroom which didn't look great along with a significant rip in one of the nets curtains (both faults reported to reception the following day). Evening meal was great but could have had slightly more options.

Spacious room with all the basic facilities you require. Ground floor location ideal for reception. Dinner really nice, despite there not being much choice. Pool & gym facilities absolutely fantastic. All staff helpful & informative.

Nice location although the road upto the hotel and the car park was full of holes . the hotel was a little tired looking, could do with some redecorating . Our room was comfortable but our bathroom sink had a large chip on it and the radiator clunked all night.

The drive up over potholes and narrow roads. Big pothole at the entrance. Room a little cool and we could not turn heaters up. We had 5 days of English breakfast - maybe have choices off a menu. Food was sometimes cold.

Loved the executive suite, bathtub and heated towel rail. All staff were welcoming and lovely, efficient and responsive. Enjoyed service at the bar, breakfast and dinner - chef provided gluten free options for dinner.

We were travelling for a championship dog show along with friends from abroad. I was disappointed that the charges were per dog, not per room like many other hotels. It meant some of our dogs had to sleep in the vans.

I was travelling with my husband who has dementia and can be a little difficult. The staff, especially in the restaurant where he complained loudly about the volume of music, could not have been kinder or more helpful. The young waiting staff were also very pleasant.

The hotel is "well used" and not super new- but extremely clean and the staff were very nice. The food at breakfast was extra nice- piping hot. This was exceptionally good value.
