Loved everything about my stay here. Calm, friendly, clean, beautiful location. Adam (owner) and Owen (manager) were both helpful and friendly. I'd recommend this place if you are looking for authentic and friendly place to stay.

Service a bit slow Some parts of Room 6 need a bit of TLC like the towel rail and windows but it was clean and comfy Not a huge choice in menu especially for vegans / vegetarians But all the food we had was delicious

A wider breakfast choice - but this is coming in the next few weeks.

A proper village pub/inn well supported by the local community. Small menu but top quality food. Adam the owner is a great guy who recently took over the pub. He has some really positive plans in place for the future. He is backed up by a wonderful team. Everyone was so positive, bubbly and welcoming. The locals we met in the pub were great fun and made us very welcome. A really pleasant few nights. Thank you.

A little off the beaten track but in a nice rural and peaceful village.

This pub/restaurant has been recently taken over. The new proprietor is great and very enthusiastic. A fist class welcome and nothing was too much trouble. He has much to do with upgrading the building and bedrooms etc but the food and beer and ambiance are first class.

It needs a bit of a refurbished and it was a hot day /night so could have done with a fan in the room . But didn’t stop me sleeping as bed was comfy.

The location is very picturesque and rural. The roads are single lane tiny and windy but it’s worth it as pretty setting next to a very old and interesting church. Also only 30 minutes from Cardiff.

The pillows were not comfortable, the shower was no good to me it was in the bath which was a big old bath couldn't even get in it so high , the room wasn't very clean. The stairs to get upstairs to the room's were hard to negotiate no good to disabled people

not a comment on "did not like" just rooms were understandbly tired; however, beds were comfortable and Adam is doing the rooms up two at a time so looking forward to staying again in a renovated room

considering Adam has only had the pub for 5 weeks he did a splendid job of welcoming us and explaining his plans. Dining was very good and the wine tasting evening was an unexpected bonus.

Only problem we encountered was the internet was having some problems in the room, but we were able to use it downstairs in the pub.

The new owner of the pub was fantastic, very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Amazing meals on the menu at the pub at night. Breakfast was good as well! Over all, we had an amazing visit and we will return. Room was large, as well as the bathroom.

Lovely little pub with rooms. Located in a gorgeous village, next to a pretty church and river. Ample parking, great food and drinks choice. Able to come and go as you please. Great for staying with dogs.

Very quirky in a beautiful setting Staff were very friendly and helpful , food tasty Would of loved the open fire on more as it gives it that cosy feel but I asked a local and he said they rarely put it on , shame

Mattress felt a bit cheap, only 2 Breakfast Tea bags for 2 people, so had to go searching for more :)

Room 3 was a good size, well equipped and quiet being a good distance from the bar, real milk in a flask.

The Wi-fi for working was intermittent in the room I had and I ended up using my I phone as a connection in the morning. I had a bit of a struggle to turn the towel rail up in the bathroom, the valve was very stiff and I wonder if someone not as strong would have managed.

All the staff were extremely helpful and attentive. The food is delicious and cooked fresh. My room was comfortable and had everything needed. My breakfast was basic but due to not Chef on site in the morning, however it fulfilled what I needed and again the staff had left everything for me we had discussed the previous evening. Overall I would stay again with a few tweeks.
