Not all spa facilities where available so I didn’t opt to use any then. For me that was part of the expectation. Hotel and spa like in the title … A little desk light might help if you want to work at it . Especially since no computer was available for the guests.

Staff was top. Super friendly and helpful in all directions.

Room lacking lighting on area around cupboards and TV. No lighting switch around left side of bed, had to get out of the bed in dark to go to bathroom during the night Unable to turn off subtitles on TV. Receptionist informed me that all TV's in hotel are fixed this way. TV signal is weak and keeps pixcelating so its annoying to watch Hot water ran out during my shower

Quiet, large room. Beautiful bathroom, nice view of garden. Loads of cupboard space, comfy beds Staff helpful and responsive

Could do with some TLC, very dated, needs a deep clean around shower, toilet, drinks tray in room etc. Pool heating was broken. Security chain on the door was broken. Heating was on far too warm.

Staff were very friendly, drinks very reasonably priced.

Room was tired and needed updating. Window was difficult to lock and had gaps all round. Needs fixing or renewal as handle almost falling off. Bedside lamp had bulb missing, room was stifling hot and we couldn't turn down radiators, decor was tired and in need of updating. Lack of bar staff... had to shout to get anyone to serve us. Reception staff were brilliant though so they made the stay pleasant.

Breakfast was excellent. location was good for event we attended in Golf Club next door. Grounds look lovely public areas look well maintained and clean. Reception staff were brilliant and hotel should be proud of them.

It was somewhat ‘tired’ than the photos indicated - our room wasn’t very clean, all a bit out of date & a bit neglected, eg: stained bath, chipped paintwork, couple of lights not working. Dining room walls were also rather dirty & needed refreshing.

Food was excellent - limited vegan options, but everything was cooked perfectly & very tasty.

I booked a room for my family to spend the New Year at the Spa and so my kids could enjoy the pool.. The Hotel is really nice, the spa and the Pool is amazing and the staff we really friendly. But , unfortunately , I came across a lot of disappointments during my stay. And the most was the fact that my youngest son couldn't enjoy the pool , because he's under 16 years old. In the site it stated that a 16 years old couldn't use the spa but it wasn't clear that the Swimming pool was part of of the Spa. I booked a book a room at Frederick's so my both sons could enjoy the pool on the New Year's eve and New year's Day . Another disappointing issue was that I wrote on the day before our check in and asked when the pool was available until . I was told that we could enjoy it until 20:00. When we arrived, they informed us that the pool would be close at 18:00. At 17:30 they gave us a 10 minutes notice that the pool was available only for ten more minutes. I do understand that it was New Year's Eve, that the staff might have the right to finish early. But I wish I was informed of that specially because I exchanged email with the hotel on the same day. Another thing, I also Intended to open a bottle of Champagne at midnight to celebrate it with my husband, to our disappointment the room which we stayed in 108 ( there was no fridge in it) and and the room me and my husband stayed in 109 the fridge didn't work. At your website it clearly stated that your rooms are fitted with fridges. And the bar wasn't available, at least I wasn't informed of that. So, I didn't pay cheap for our stay. which I understand that it is the price but the facilities wasn't as I expected.

The property, breakfast and the pool.

The room had an awful, musty, damp smell. It was worse overnight, making my husband cough. The taps on the sink worked counterwise, and the hot water tap didn't work very well at all. There were cobwebs and dust in the bedroom and bathroom.

The hotel was in a suitable location for the event we were attending. We did not use the Spa facilities as we were only overnight. The towels were good quality. The bed pillows and linen were good.

bathroom had a new complicated shower. No way to regulate temperature and water was scalding hot on both overhead and hand held so couldn't use it. Had to have a bath instead but very difficult for me (75 yr old) to safely enter and get out of bath. Bathroom automatic blower (as there was no window) was extremely noisy so we couldn't leave the light on all night in case we needed to access the toilet, meaning we had to stumble around in the dark so as not to wake each other up. Toilet needs adjusting as the water runs through it constantly. TV reception is poor, picture keeps pixelating and sound keeps cutting out or beeping on all channels

large comfortable bed. Polite and helpful staff. Very quiet location near motorway. Good breakfast. Pool and spa nice but didn't have time to use them. Decor is attractive and classy. Great facilities for groups, weddings etc. with large garden. Car park. Our room had a new bathroom which looked great but had some issues, (see below)

It was cold, lacked atmosphere, wallpaper was off the wall, fire alarm went off one morning, breakfast was poor - one morning it was prepared fresh but saturated in oil, the next few days it was a buffet that had been sat there it seemed since being put outs. No fridge in my room, mattress springs had clearly gone I had a terrible few nights sleep.

    Not much.
