Only 2 sockets in room 1 for TV and 1 for electric heater, which had to be left on as room was very cold.

Needs renovating, every part of the building needs decorating. Didn’t like anything about the property.

Didn’t like anything about staying at this property. Booked to stay at the Golden Strand, when we get there we were told we were staying at the Beckwood. It wasn’t a nice a room, the carpet was dirty and parts was lifting up, radiator wasn’t working, we got a small portable heating in the room, which wasn’t putting out enough heat. The place needs renovating, the Beckwood should’ve been let out to anyone, it needs updating. Wouldn’t stay there again.

No working tv aerial. No kettle But I,m sure john would of got me one if i asked.

Cheap and cheerful. Not the best but for the money can,t fault it. Got a good nights sleep all week. (Comfy clean bed) Good wifi watched netflix every night with no probs. John who runs the place ( Happy fella ) Greeted me with big smile and made me welcome. Answered all calls and msgs strange away . Would come again

The electricity fall down several times a day, everyday. The fact that my room was ensuite with bathroom, the shower broked in last 7 days of my staying, I informed the owners but no action was taken, and I needed to take shower in the hotel next door on the upper floors. There was loud music several nights of my staying, and I needed to complain to Booking.com to resolve the matter. The common area was with pool table, however, on both of the sides of the hotel was unusable as there was maintenance. The maintenance was finished in the last day of my staying, so no chance of using it at all...

Free amenities, and I was asked if I need an additional towels and bed sheets. My room was ensuite.

The room had hardly any space at all, carpet all frayed which one child caught their toe in, double bed was extremely uncomfortable where i was in agony the next morning. No handle on the inside of bathroom door. The curtain didn't cover the window at all so it was extremely light. Room advertised with pool table is closed off. The bunk bed was swaying and extremely rickety and I was worried the eldest child may fall through, she also couldnt get down the bunkbed stairs well because they are infront of a wall and it's a very tight squeeze. I could cope for 1 night but i would not want to do more than 1 night in these conditions.

Staff were lovely & friendly, location is perfect, managed to find free parking at the top of Street near the shop and take away, received free toiletries (shampoos, soaps) which are always a nice touch, bedding was clean.

Room has been decorated as you walk in you can smell the paint there was no curtains up and there was paint on the carpet no towels but landlady said she well give us towels and put up curtains when we come back she did what she said but the room was cold no heating on and no hot water bed was uncomfortable it so springlea I couldn't sleep well

Golden strand Hotel is in very good area everything is near by easy to walk to to facilities

Room was really tired - smears on wall, bare floorboards near door, nails sticking out where pictures used to be, TV remote didn't work, dingy curtain, condensation on window as didn't close fully. Carpet needs replacing.

Location is great, owner was friendly and towels clean/bedding ok. Heating ok.

In need of repairs. - Very small room. - Window didn’t close properly. - Toilet door didn’t close. - Curtains falling down. - Poorly fitted carpets. - Paint falling from bathroom ceiling. - Tv stuck on chid lock, stuck on one channel and couldn’t alter the volume, but we did manage to unlock it with a bit of faffing.

- Excellent location. - Friendly helpful staff. - Tea and coffee provided in the rooms. - Shower worked well. - Clean, comfortable and warm. - Reasonably quiet at night.

This is a cheap place to stay and you get what you pay for. The carpet was unclean, room had double bed and bunk bed in a Small room, had to go up 3 flights of stairs. I wouldn’t go back there again. if you can pay a bit extra stay elsewhere

You get what you pay for. In hindsight I wish I had paid a bit more for a better place. We stayed one night and paid £60 for 2 adults and 2 children. The pictures show you what to expect, so it wasn’t too surprising. We had our own en suite. On the plus side the location was good, only 5 minutes walk to the beach and 15 mins walk to the main attractions. Illuminations were super! Also, found free parking nearby which was a bonus *Tip* check the parking signs, we found a street off the beach which was ok to park after 6pm. Plenty of places to eat nearby.

The room was cold even though there was heating. There was a kettle in the room had to ask for one and the place overall wasn’t very clean
