There is nothing we can say here, as we found everything just right for us!

everything went well, as always! Our room was really comfortable, very clean, had everything we could need, bed was amazing, we slept so well! All staff are welcoming, helpful and friendly. Obviously, Joe at breakfast is the most amazing of all staff with Steve, (although we didn't see him this visit) comes a close second. Food is delicious with breakfasts being particularly delicious! We love how well cared for the whole place is...the pots outside are always so well tended, very colourful and inviting, the decor inside is uniquie and just lovely, (must be a nightmare to dust, however, it is always dust free!) the Grantham Arms is a place we return to because it is just so good!

There was a mechanical buzzing noise we could hear in our room , like a generator running which wasn't conducive to sleep. Apart from that it was lively

Perhaps some drinking water provided in bedrooms? Otherwise, all was good.

I only had cereal and fruit but there was a selection from menu if wanted.

This was a fantastic find. the room we had was outstanding. Very friendly and helpful staff. a special. mention to the young chap who served us for breakfast he made us feel so welcome and looked like he enjoyed his job with his interaction with the other guesses too. we will definitely stop here again.

Everything, the staff, blankets and heaters on the patio, colourful plants, very good food and the rooms were very tastefully decorated. Our bathroom was excellent with a walk in shower as well as a bathtub.

Very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Loved the quirky touch with the decor and various soft toys throughout the pub restaurant and room. Evening meal was excellent (didn't have breakfast) Bed was good size and firm. The shower was excellent. Would definitely stay again and more than just one night.

The location was easy to find and convenient for access to the A1(M). The staff were welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed both lunch and a delicious breakfast. Rooms were comfortable and had everything we required. We were out in the evening, not returning until after 1.00 am, however this was no problem as we could use our room key to unlock the front door. Everything went really well, we enjoyed or brief stay and can highly recommend the Grantham Arms.

Sadly, this visit the dinner wasn’t great. The starter was cool and a bit meh and main was supposed to be with chips that were more like crisps and very salty gravy.

Good location for the start of our road trip. Breakfast was really good, and great to see the same staff that were there a year before. Exemplary service, helpful and friendly.

Room was too hot but it was a very warm night, had window open but no breeze our side of building, had desk fan but too noisy to leave on overnight.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The whole place was very clean and decorated beautifully. OK the hotel was set on a roundabout but it wasn't very noisy and just over the road was a lovely walk along the river. We would highly recommend this hotel.

A nice large comfortable room and walking distance to town, and an easy drive to the park and ride to get into York. We had a nice meal in the courtyard and while we did not have it, breakfast looked great as well. Would recommend.

The room was very warm. The bed had a thick duvet on it. We did remove these from the duvet covers to be able to sleep comfortably.

Very attentive staff as previously experienced. Our second stay. Very accommodating customer service. Good choice of food on the menu, fair pricing.
