Minor issue-the hotel is quite high on a little hill so if you come from the train station it's a bit of a walk but trust me, it's worth it.

Grove House Guest House is a very cosy, lovely family run hotel in Oakengates, the heart of Telford as they say. I had a minor problem and it was fixed immediately. The breakfast was delicious, I was surprised they were able to fill my wish of getting decaf coffee as I don't drink caffeine a few months now. I also loved how in the room you have an option of a flat or a high pillow, as someone with a preference for flat pillows I usually don't get that in hotels and have to awkwardly try to sleep by the side of it. If my path ever takes me back, I'm sure I'll return.

Staff were great very helpful, she let me put my bag in early even while she was still cleaning my room.. The breakfast was really nice cooked to perfection 👌.. I will definitely stay again

breakfast hash brown too soggy needed to be crispy. Vegan sausage not tasty. everything else exceptional. Bed mattress has seen better days, very saggy on rhs springs buckle and groan when getting in or out of bed and turning over.

breakfast choice was excellent. Service was first rate. Nice touches included bottle of water as well as tea & coffee. soap, shampoo and body wash dispensers really nice touch. TV excellent.

Limited places for evening meals within walking distance.

Excellent breakfast with wide choice esp cooked breakfast. Use of fridge and microwave on first floor landing. Nearby pub (5 min walk) which served pub grub at good price. Doesn't do food Monday or Tuesday. Plenty of easily accessed parking. Excellent area for exploring Shrewsbury, Ironbridge, Wroxeter and RAF museum at Cosford. Nearby Tong has a beautiful medieval church.

Conveniently positioned for Weston Park (I was there for a two-day car rally). A lovely room with separate shower room and kitchenette at the rear of the property so was really quiet. Very clean and well presented. Excellent breakfast available from 7am on a Sunday (early start fitted my needs and much appreciated). Lovely welcome - a great find!

Local area was a bit drab. Pub, the Albion, we walked to didn't serve food on Mondays Tuesdays. Looked a bit of a lads pub! Very helpful landlord though recommended the Priorslee Drove to the Priorslee pub food passable. Wouldn't go back.

Clean comfortable well decorated spacious bedroom. Nice hosts. Excellent breakfast. Drove into Telford to Town Park which was amazing.

I cannot find anything negative about our stay. The price reflected the facilities.

Location was great, it met our needs for access to local shopping etc. Breakfast options were good with meals cooked to order and lovely and hot. Owner very friendly. Good secure parking.

Lovely sized room with a double and a single bed. Both beds extremely comfortable and the room was in a quiet location. Breakfast was exceptionally tasty and really hot. Leslie was really friendly and welcoming and could not have done more for us. Top marks for this superb B and B.
