Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomMy room was across the alley from a nightclub. With single paned windows the noise was incredibly loud. Great if you want to party, not so much if you want to sleep. Ear plugs are a must if you want an early night.
Breakfast was lovely, staff were lovely and the price of the room was great value for money for a quick stopover. If I was doing a weekend partying in Liverpool I would choose this hotel.

United KingdomParking not included, closest parking was £25 which wasn’t ideal but no other option
Breakfast included was a great bonus I didn’t realise I got! Food was good, just what I needed after a night out! Room was small but just what I needed to get my head down. Bathroom was really nice. Great location!

United KingdomMight have been nicer not to have breakfast in the pub area, but it wasn't too bad.
Great location, city wise. Was a little worried at first as it's very close to busy areas, but I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was in the room. Lovely bathroom and very clean. The room was small and a little cramped, but the bed was very comfy, and the tea, coffee and biscuits were a nice addition. Good breakfast, very friendly staff. Will definitely stay again.

United KingdomThe bed was a little too hard for me, but I slept fine. And the noise outside did disrupt my night's sleep but half expected that being in the centre of town
The location, all staff was amazingly friendly and welcoming, I really enjoyed the breakfast and the staff created a very friendly and warm atmosphere. Great selection of food to eat!

United StatesThe hotel is above a bar and on a busy bar-lined street so it gets pretty noisy at night, particularly Friday - Sunday. It's also noisy in the mornings when the street sweepers come through and the bar's resupply of kegs are delivered.
The hotel was located in a great area of town because it was walkable and close to all the major sites one may want to see in Liverpool. It's close to the shopping district, restaurants, pubs and Beatles sites. Its also right on a bus line and within walking distance of the railway station. Breakfast was great!

Czech RepublicOnly thing I would mention is that the shower only has over-head showerhead, it would be definitely better to have a hose too. But the water pressure is decent, so you can take the shower without any complications.
First, to talk about the Elephant in the room - the Hotel is in the very centre, therefore, and it's mentioned by the owners, so if you have light sleep, this might not be for you. I am a heavy sleeper - give me a cozy bed and I'll sleep though everything. And the bad was cozy, soft, clean and nice, therefore I got an excellent night of sleep. If you are a light sleeper through, just pack ear-plugs. Room is not big, but has all the necessities in the price range. Staff is really friendly and helpful, breakfast bar well supplied, the warm breakfast will fill you up nicely and a bar with cheap beer is always a nice thing to have close to your accomodation. Here, it's just to the right from the lobby. I'll see you next time I'm visiting Liverpool!

United KingdomI later realised the hotel was located in the 'night life area.' It was a bit too lively at night, so if I were to travel with my family, I probably will choose somewhere else.
The staff are friendly, and the hot English breakfast was delicious and nutritious. There was a big bath tub even in my single room. Overall it's good value for money.
