The doors Thst do not stay open was a minor annoyance. It was bothersome to have to buy a big box of laundry detergent and fabric softener since we knew we’d only do a couple of loads. Access to complementary laundry detergent sheets or on site purchase of those in a smaller size would have been nice. A mixing bowl would have come in handy.

The Ocean Service Apartment we rented was immaculately clean when we arrived and was cleaned once more during our 10 day stay. The kitchen was well fitted out with essentials for cooking and cleaning. The washer/dryer was a lifesaver ( we did have to buy det/softener) Staff responded quickly to a request for an extra duvet. It was quiet and peaceful. While the location is a little further out from the city center, bus service ( we got rida cards) is very reliable and so clean and courteous. Travel time to city center was never more than 30 min and sometimes less. And the rides were a welcome rest for the feet and gave us a good idea of the city layout and streets we wanted to explore. Proximity (walking distance) to the local grocery was convenient. There was plenty of room for our family of 5 to stretch out and relax and eat meals together.

Location is quiet, staff very welcoming especially front office guy from South Africa. ASDA is close-by, bus station 100 m from place, however used out rented car which made journey joyful.

It is a bit frail. The whole apartment walls and ceilings shake when the doors are closed. The heating in bathrooms did not work.

The initial cleaning was not good. We found popcorn in the sofa and hair in the bathroom. Furthermore the elevator seemed to be running throughout the day most of the time for no reason.

It was a fine, comfy stay. We had hoped to have a better view of the Royal Yacht Britannia, but it was close. The restaurants nearby were yummy, and it was convenient to make our own breakfasts. Not a lot to do within walking distance in this location compared to staying near the Royal Mile, but it was perfect for day trips out of Edinburgh.

There are very few drawbacks, perhaps slight noise from the elevator, but it’s not really an issue.

The property is spectacular in its presentation. View of Edinburgh and the waterway is incredible. Plenty of space for a family of 4 and very private. It is also quiet for the most part too, with great heating.

The outside bathroom sink was block and water hardly drain. It was a Sunday so was not able to contact the receptionist.

Spacious and clean. Convenient to go to city using bus number 11 which stops in front of the apartment. Asda superstore is around 12 min walking distance from the apartment.

The apartment is large, and the price tries to justify the square footage, but there is no need for that big place to stay. The place is outdated, and looks sad. It is time to invest some coziness.

The apartment was large enough for two families. The layout is weird, and too many unnecessary doors. The issue with leaking sink and squeaking doors was resolved very quickly. There was everything we needed for 3 nights. Complimentary parking was a lovely bonus. Incredible view, great location.

The extra fee for the extra hour is non negotiable. Also it’s only 1 bus that goes to the property. The tram is a bit far.

Stunning views, quiet area and excellent location. There’s a nice walk way through parks into Edinburgh but if you son’t fancy walking there’s a bus into town literally on thw other side of the complex

The bathrooms are rather basic, but otherwise fine and clean too. What I disliked was rather missleading information on booking.com I try to avoid self check-ins, as they rarely run smoothly, so I was happy to sea that the facility description mentioned a reception. However, once you book then comes the small print, when you learn that they have the reception, but it is… closed! But, I am sorry, you either have a working receiption or you do not have one! So that was a little bit dissapointing.

The room was very spacious and comfortable, very clean with big windows and nicely furnished. The area, although not central, is very pleasant. There are nice dinning places around and I enjoyed the stroll along the Firth of Forth right on the door steps. I do not like self check-ins, but this one was more or less ok.

View was excellent and location was very accessible by public transport. Very clean and tidy with a surprise goodie bag on arrival. We enjoyed our stay very much. We actually came back to Edinburgh a second time on our round trip and again stayed here again.
