For the dinner on our first (and only) night… The staff in the downstairs restaurant were very inexperienced, slow and rude when asked questions - whether it be about food or drink recommendations and the whereabouts of the food/drink (which all took extremely long to be served / and when arrived was served badly). None of the staff knew how to make cocktails, which the waiter later admitted AFTER we had placed our orders (when they eventually arrived, half of them were wrong!). We then chose to go for the easier choice of wine.. which the other waitress then asked/told me to pour for myself and all the other guests at the dinner table?! The whole table ordered steaks - which were all overcooked / cooked “Well Done” despite us all asking for Medium… All in all, terrible service and below par quality of the food and drink that was served.

The location and the venue are spectacular. Beautiful grounds, lovely well-preserved venue. Friendly receptionist staff and breakfast staff. Yummy breakfast, accommodated for my Gluten-free needs. Good service at breakfast.

Furniture in bedroom was a bit tired, but this did not affect our stay.

Our room was good especially the bathroom. Breakfast was good and we really enjoyed Dinner.

Buffet only on a Sunday no eggs Benedict’s or haddock available which was a shame.

Great large beds and comfortable had to change rooms and Tim the manager was great and helpful. Good breakfast although to my buffet on a weekend which was a little disappointing.

We stayed following a family wedding nearby. The staff were cheerful and very attentive . Breakfast had a good selection of hit and cold options . The hotel was clean and well maintained . Our room was spacious with a lovely big bathroom . I would definitely recommend

for the price of the room I would have expected breakfast at least, it did seem over priced for a hotel that also is a bit dated.

the key did not work on the door of my original room that I had booked so was moved into another room that was unfortunately smaller and didn't feel as clean in the bedroom. the bed side lights also did not work in the original room.

Radiator made some noises until the TRV was slightly reduced then it was very quiet.

It was very clean. The room was nice and large and had everything required. Very comfortable and quiet.

The room was a bit too warm for me but it was okay for my girlfriend.

The shower and bath were amazing, the bed was massive, the location was amazing, and the local walk around the pond was stunning. The onsite restaurant is really good quality and very tasty and had a nice ambience. The breakfast was good and the staff were brilliant.

Our breakfast wasn't included in the room rate, we paid extra and was expensive.

Our room had a fantastic view and lovely big bathroom with decent shower power. Lovely location.
