There isn’t parking close to the hotel. We parked in Southgate which was a 15 minute walk or so to the hotel. It’s not a massive dislike, just carrying bags and in UK the weather normally being miserable, 15 minutes feels like half an hour.

The room was quirky which is nice. Stood out from other hotels. We liked that it had a private terrace where you could book a time slot to use the hot tub. Added a little extra.

The lady on checkout wasn't the friendliest. We said we had an amazing stay but the shower needed a non slip mat because it was very dangerous. We were fine but anyone older than us would struggle and she just said yeah we have mats. But the mat wasn't in our room so it was a strange response.

The breakfast was lovely and it was great value for money! The staff were amazing, I think it was Niamh who checked us in and she made it so personal and even showed us to our room! The room was gorgeous with plenty of space, had everything we needed and more than we were expecting.

    Nothing.

Perfect location: plum in the middle of Britain's most walkable city. You are minutes away from everything: the Crescent, the shops, restaurants, locationally this is ideal. Despite being opposite pubs, it was quiet, easy to sleep. We expected to be woken by seagulls, but weren't. Great breakfast, allows you to skip lunch.

I think the room we were in was starting to get a bit tired - some scuff marks, paintwork needing redone and some minor damage to furniture. I prefer to have room serviced daily - instead of having to hang a sign on the door to request. Breakfast self serve area was okay but no meat or cheese and only bread available was toast. On the subject of toast on two of the four days we requested but did not receive any! A cafetière would be better than serving small individual cups of coffee - we had to request a second cup every morning!

The location is excellent although no view, but we did not expect that given the description and city setting. The room was nicely decorated and a lot was fitted into a relatively small space. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very acceptable - continental choice small but adequate and cooked breakfast was delicious.

We didn't spend much time in the bar area and we didn't have breakfast there, so we can't comment on the food, but the breakfast did seem quite expensive (£17).

Great location, just a few minutes from the Baths and the Royal Crescent, about 10-15 minutes walk from the train station. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious too, and there were lovely robes for us to use during the stay. It was easy to find and the staff were very friendly.

No parking or even a space to drop off, but accept this is the price you pay for staying in a period property down a narrow street full of character. Long stay parking nearby (Charlotte Street car park) with plenty of spaces made it workable. Lots of steps and no lift mean that it's really not suitable for those with mobility issues, but it is an 18th century building.

Superb location. Lovely little hotel with charming, well appointed room, cosy and warm, spotlessly clean with new fixtures and fittings and well maintained throughout, friendly and helpful staff. Not cheap but definitely good value.

Breakfast was a little confusing as we had to keep reminding the staff we had not received drinks or toast which we ordered. Whether it was staff who were being trained we are unsure.

The feel of the hotel and its location are excellent, and the public areas are very well set out. The rooms are clean and spacious. We stayed in luxurious room which contained a coffee machine which was a very nice touch.

From a personal perspective there was one thing I would have liked and that was a handrail on the staircase. We were on the second floor and my mobility is poor so I struggled a lot
