How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Booked as a last minute weekend break with my partner. Location was perfect! Lots of lovely restaurants within a couple of minutes walk and the beach and pier just 5 minutes away. Lovely room, decorated nicely with all basic facilities. Kitchen was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. A big bonus was the parking space! Check in was easy and hassle free. Amazing value for money.

Parking a little hard to access when busy
The whole set up . We had big bedroom and access to large kitchen and large lounge , very comfortable.

Maybe one or two teething troubles in the apartments - some water came through from the flat above on one occasion. Shared eating and cooking facilities - you don't have to use them, but we found that when a large family was staying they did tend to take over!
Handy location. Room and door codes worked well. Best thing about the stay was the housekeeper who was really helpful. She exceeded expectations on two occasions, when I asked her about storing luggage and when I locked myself out of the room. The rooms were beautifully clean.

Excellent position in the town, very clean and modern room. The shower was so powerful, and the bathroom was large. Love the little touches of the bathroom mirror/ light. Everything about it was lovely.

You had everything you needed the rooms where spacious and nice. You had a kettle with cups, coffee & biscuits, their was also a hairdryer in the room which was a bonus. The bed was comfy, and you was close to everything

Would highly recommend staying here,very comfortable, clean and great location. The self-catering fercilities available were great,everything you would need for a comfortable stay.We did manage to park free on the drive with a little commutation with other guests so 3 of us got parked,there was a carpark right behind the property if we needed it.

ensuite surprisingly small, but perfectly fine had a panic when the water went off when we were getting ready to go out and still needed showers - it was only brief, due to them fixing a tap, but would've been useful to have the heads up in advance.
Beds were SO comfy, room spacious, facilities excellent, lovely and clean, not noisy, on a lovely street, great location, communication from host was good.

Not able to have visitors, but understood why. Needed more privacy as my bedroom window faced another house windows. If I closed the blackout blind, it would mean losing the natural light and relying on switching the light on
Very clean. The mattress was so thick and very comfortable. Everything was thought of regarding personal needs. iron, Fan, Hairdryer, Washing/dryer machine, bottles of water. The room had a modern feel , the furniture. And loved the wall mural.

Can’t fill the kettle up in the room as sink to small. I bottle of water next to the kettle would fix this.
Great shared areas to use. Very clean. Didn’t see any staff but they were at the end of a phone if needed. Great location.
