If I had to be supa picky then the mattress was a little sunken on one side but other then that the room was beautiful, clean, spacious, bright and had everything we needed.

Host was warm and welcoming, helpful with extra requests, Breakfast was delicious and good quality and quantity. Good location, quiet and safe, small taxi ride or car drive to sea front/Marina. Highly recommend to go to the river exe Cafe, fantastic! We really enjoyed our stay. X

Bed was so comfy, hosts were wonderful. We didn’t want a cooked breakfast so had a lovely continental instead. Hosts were helpful with local knowledge, and property was beautiful.

The kettle needed descaling

Solid old building well maintained although the shower was modern was of the highest quality. The shower a large head was so gentle.

Milk for teas in the room wasn't provided which was probably an oversight. We could have asked for some but we arrived back quite late and didn't want to disturb the host. Local water tastes of chlorine so perhaps could have been filtered to remove that taste

We initially searched for B&B locations and thought the price quoted included breakfast - until we read the small print when we discovered the breakfast is extra. Nevertheless we paid for and received an excellent breakfast

25 mins walk to town centre - less of an issue in the summer/ good weather Booking.com suggests breakfast available- pay at property but this wasn’t an option when we visited. This needs to be made clearer in the booking information.

I had to call the property mobile number when I arrived as there was no answer when I rang the doorbell, even though I called a couple of days beforehand to advise of my arrival time. My room was also a bit on the cold side in the evening but nice and warm the following morning.

My room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and the en-suite bathroom was really nice, new and modern and also disabled-friendly, which was a bonus for me. There was ample tea, coffee and milk provided too. The TV worked well, so much so that I ended up binge watching The Crown on Netflix. 🤭

Nothing could have been better.

Our second time at this lovely B & B while visiting friends in Exmouth. Ruth and Joe are so welcoming and helpful. The ensuite room is home from home. The bed is super comfortable due to a lovely thick mattress topper and memory foam pillows. Although we did not have breakfast there I am sure it would have been excellent. The owners have two friendly dogs who bark a bit but soon stop as soon as you greet them. We will definitely return next year.

I wish I’d booked to stay longer! There is nothing that could change to make my stay better. It completely exceeded my expectations.

I absolutely loved my whole experience at Hedgebank. I arrived to a ready, warm welcome and I felt very comfortable. The room was delightful - quiet, warm, clean, beautifully decorated, with a lock on the door, included an en-suite, with ‘extra’ thought having gone into things such as the beautiful tray with glasses and tea/coffee poised in the room. And warm fresh towels on the bathroom towel rail. I was in awe of the decor. The bathroom was modern, warm, clean and had excellent shower. It really was classy and comfortable and I consciously thought multiple times throughout my stay how comfortable and happy I was there. It felt like a home away from home (but better!). I felt very safe there. I’m quite safety conscious, and I absolutely felt at ease and safe at all times. The other people that live in the property are absolutely trustworthy and lovely people. The house has a lovely vibe, and I slept better than I can remember! They were incredibly generous and even offered to make me a sandwich when I said I was going to pop out (quite late) to get some snacks. This was such a kind gesture and I felt so welcome. I am really over the moon with my stay - it was like a wonderful holiday.

Incredibly warm welcome from the owner, Ruth and her dogs. Great communication ahead of my trip and she very kindly picked me up from the station. Beautiful and comfortable room with all mod cons (I slept so well). Delicious cooked-to-order breakfast. Exceptional service. Waaaay lovelier than an impersonal hotel. Just perfect. The room we stayed in was incredible, I found this place as it was close to our wedding venue that we were going to, the pictures looked beautiful on the website and even more so In real life, the room didn’t disappoint, the owners were so lovely aswell, very welcoming and we would definitely like to go back in the future.
