Great food, atmosphere and service, the place was lovely, very family orientated, we are from Australia was nice to be somewhere so welcoming and friendly.

At times there was a strange smell of rotten eggs, possibly some sewage issues. Creaking floorboards above our room but it is an old hotel so maybe to be expected.

Clean, comfortable, warm room with nice bathroom and good shower. Free parking was a bonus and buses stopped outside the hotel which took you into centre of Edinburgh which was about 4 miles away.

However one morning we decided to get the breakfast at the hotel and we were a little disappointed with it: we paid 6£ to get the unlimited food option, but the selection was really poor (just classic english breakfast items). We also paid 3£ for unlimited drinks thinking we could've get some orange juice or other hot drinks from the machines, but there was just americano coffe and tea.

Overall the stay was great, room was cleaned and tidied up every morning. Location was great, bus stop literally just outside the venue (25/30 min ). There is also a Coop not too far, to grab some snacks. Everything was good, and I would recommend this place for a short trip to Edinburg.

The option to have a bath in the room rather than just a shower.

Breakfast was an all you can eat self service with a good selection. The hotel was in a perfect location for our visit to the Zoo.

It was difficult getting a cab or Uber to the airport in the morning at 4am. Had to Prebook a cab and the cost was very expensive

The restaurant attached was very good. It’s a good central location from downtown and the airport. The room and bathroom were large and very clean and comfortable

Property had had a major renovation since I was last here so was looking forward in seeing the improvements as had looked a bit tired last time, but was disappointed as apart from a lick of paint on the walls couldn’t see much difference. The downstairs bar and restaurant hadn’t had any work done and still looks tired….

Location, is close to attraction I was down to Edinburgh to see and has easy access to the city centre 20 minutes on bus which are very frequent.

The shower is on the small side. Our room was at the very end of a seemingly endless corridor with steps up and down, which made hauling the luggage an unpleasant experience.

Had to wait at the bar after being welcomed for a key. Otherwise really good staff. Perhaps a little ille pricy for just a room. Maybe add a basic breakfast or tea and toast

Very busy and had to park on the street until a spot opened in the parking lot. Food was good but restaurant was extremely hot.

Clean tidy, we ate in the carvery ment to be five meats on offer , with three inc in price but they only had turkey, food still good though. Enjoyed our stay no issues.

I liked that the breakfast area was really big and not crowded. The breakfast itself was just ok, not many food choices Some breakfast options tasted really strange, the bacon was like eating cardboard. Other than that, I have nothing bad to say about my stay.

Right outside the hotel was the bus stop with direct access to the city center and airport, which was very convenient. Really liked it here. It felt cozy and welcoming, the staff was friendly, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Slept like a baby, which I usually don't do in hotels.

At dinner time the carvery is very popular which means the staff are a bit stretched. The meal was still very enjoyable.

Great to have parking behind the hotel and it was easy to check in. Our room had everything you would. Good buffet breakfast.

As we were at the front of the property there was a certain amount of traffic noise but not a huge problem
