We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomDont rely on google maps, you'll end up in the hills!🤣 The room was a bit cold, even though the radiator was working. (Bathroom was warm, though). Roadworks outside made walking to and from hotel a maze! (Not their fault, though). Could hear neighbours talking, but that's probably a common thing in old hotels.
Really lovely welcome, room decent size, good bathroom. The room was a bit cold, but the bed was super warm and comfy. Dog friendly. Delicious freshly cooked breakfast. Parking right outside the door. We were visiting friends in Buxton, so we're out in the evening, but we did manage a beer in the bar beforehand. Busy little place. We'll be back, already booked to come back in the summer just to explore the hills.

Really appreciated the help of the chap who cooks the breakfast. (I didn't want a full English, and so instead he gave me a bacon and sausage bap to take away for my lunch). Lovely room, great service, great value.

United KingdomGreat location just off a main road so easy to find. Kinder Lodge stands out as an impressive stone built Inn wth plenty of seating inside and out. Kindly made a pot of tea for our older driving participants. The bar was busy and the staff still managed to get us booked in between the pints. Great atmostphere in the bar with the TV's, pool table and darts all on the go. We drove 5 minutes down the same road for a curry at New Mills which my friends like to do, then back to the bar for the evening.
