Quirky room with a fairly comfy bed, at a great price. What we "saved" on the room was spent on the exceptional food downstairs in the bistro. A great place. Lovely staff. Fabulous food. 10s from us

Small suggestions: a soap dish in the shower, another towel rail in the bathroom, better replenishment of the coffee/tea, etc., a guide to the TV channels.

The food was excellent. Quite pricey, especially the breakfast, but high quality. The room was comfy -- large, a bit "tired" but very clean. The staff were friendly, helpful, and extremely hard-working. Plenty of books available everywhere! Nice back garden, which we'd have used if the weather had been warmer.

Everything! Cannot recommend this place highly enough. The service was wonderful, the food was outstanding, the rooms were comfortable and clean. Highly recommend for both locals and visitors, well worth the trip into Wylam for the exceptional food and service.

Having fruit or yoghurt on the menu for breakfast would be great although there was a large selection of other choices which our family loved.

Rooms were spacious and very clean and comfortable. There were 3 pubs within walking distance. Although we didn't have an evening meal at the bistro - it looked great.

Parking can be tricky but that's nothing to do with B&B. Just be prepared for it

Breakfast is really good, really big comfortable rooms. Have stayed here many times over the years.

There were large puddles on the access path to the accommodation at the time of our visit.

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast with very good coffee in the bistro that was available from 7am.

    Nothing to improve!

Laburnum Guest House provided us with an ideal base for our visit. The room was a good size with en suite facilities. It was clean as was the bathroom. Beds clean & comfy. Staff were on hand but not overbearing. We liked the separate availability of breakfast to which our relatives staying close by could join us.

Parking - there was only 1 car parking space available and the main road the hotel was on was closed for 6 weeks (we weren't told this before our arrival) so we had to park quite a walk away, which was a nightmare with 2 young children and my mum who is disabled. There was a car parked at the back of the hotel the whole time we were there but we were told by a staff member they didnt know whos car it was 🤷🏻‍♂️ (had the car of been parked properly then 3 cars could of fitted). This was our only gripe with the hotel.

The hotel was lovely, room was clean, spacious and just what we needed. Special mention for Joanna she was absolutely lovely, very accommodating and the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble! Child friendly and with plans to make it more child friendly. Food and drink service was very good and breakfast was lovely. A lovely little hotel situated (for us at least) in the middle of everywhere we needed to go.

Parking is limited but it's only a short walk from the station so leave the car at home!

A very impressive and well run guest house in a great location. The room was comfortable and quiet and had everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Breakfast was great - you only pay for what you choose from a bowl of cereal to full bacon and eggs. The veggie and vegan options were superb.

The rooms were SO warm, I get the weather we have had recently but the weather outside was much cooler on the evening we stayed however the rooms were just too warm, it seems the heating was on as neither myself or my wife had a good sleep

Amazingly gorgeous place with the cutest bar and restaurant with beer garden, such lovely staff to greet us and good parking at the rear even for my camper van
