The internet did not work. The router probably just needed a power cycle, but I didn't do anything about trying to fix it. 4G just about works! I unfortunately couldn't stay long enough to really check things out but it felt like the living room was a quite cramped. The mattress could have been firmer but really no trouble as I got a good nights sleep. Don't know if the room can be arranged a little differently to give a little more floor space but again nothing really to complain about!

The best part of my stay here was cleanliness and the hot shower. After a long day of hiking, a nice hot powerful shower is just pure bliss and the room I stayed in had a lovely clean and spacious shower with excellent water pressure and hot water. The second best part was the thoughtfulness of a fridge in the room. Everything was spotlessly clean. Good tea / coffee / breakfast facilities. I was in touch with Smaxi regarding arrival times, entry codes, etc. and the communication was timely, friendly and excellent.

The kettle was a bit broken, and the toilet button also got a bit stuck, which could make the toilet run continuously if left unfixed.

THE VIEW! The house is directly on the loch, metres away, and the view across it to the trees and the mountains is amazing. Having one of the rooms that open onto the deck is absolutely amazing. The room was good, clean, and comfortable, and the owner was very easy to get in contact with.

The only reason this didn’t get a full house on the scores was the internet not working. Wi-Fi could not be connected to.

The location of this place, albeit on quite a main road, was superb. Right on the side of the Loch with a perfect uninterrupted view. Room was large, well appointed with an excellent bathroom. Plenty large enough for the four of us not to be tripping over each other.

The place is perfect, right by the lake. We were upgraded to a stunning suite. Everything was so calm, clean, tidy. amazing experience. We strongly recommend choosing this place

- Far away from shops, I definitely recommend buying all food and drinks prior to going there. - The one restaurant that is right next to it (at a hotel) is VERY expensive and wasn't worth the price in our opinion.

Ideal location for overnight stopover when travelling further to Uig for Ferry. We arrived in the dark and woke up to spectacular view from the lovely wee outdoor terrace. Extras within the room and en-suite were very welcome 💖

When making the booking it was for b&b, however no breakfast provided! Hadn't experienced a lockbox entry system before, normally host on site, had a problem gaining entry.

The suite was divided with a curtain from the rest of the rooms so volume needed to be down at all times, which is rather difficult when you have a 3 year old.

The outdoor chairs on the deck were uncomfortable for us & difficult to get out of (and we’re not large people). The sink was very small but not unlike some others in Scotland.

Comfortable bed, great view, and can walk to the restaurant next door for dinner or drinks without needing to drive. It was a nice surprise to have a mini frig that wasn’t in the listing. Very clean.

The Letterfinlay House is located in an amazing spot right on the lake! We loved the location! We actually wish that we could have stayed longer! The house was clean and we had the pleasure of meeting the hosts the day we checked out. They were very kind and informative about nearby attractions. We highly recommend this location for lodging while in Ft Williams!

The only thing that would have made this better would have been access to the washer/dryer in the kitchen. Despite the full kitchen, it was not self-catering, so the appliances were not functionable.

After an unexpected road closure which made getting to the Isle of Skye impossible on our travel day, we found the Letterfinlay Lodge House on booking.com. Amazingly it was available for the night. We weren't really sure what to expect, but we were thrilled when we arrived and saw the incredible view of Loch Lochy. Then, upon entering and depositing our adult children in their very large room on the first floor, we went upstairs to the loft apartment. Wow! We loved all the space in the living room and kitchen, and then went into our beautifully appointed bedroom with seating area, canopy bed, and balcony overlooking the loch and spanning the entire length of the house. After such a long day of driving, 2 hours in stopped traffic, this was a much needed respite. The bed was very comfortable with fluffy pillows and wonderful linens. We couldn't have asked for more! The pub at the inn next door was lovely and cozy as well. I only wish we could have stayed longer!
