How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Parking on street is only for 2 hrs so had to use morrisons car park Which didn't feel very secure We were on the top floor no lift and loads of stairs

Location is is a bit of an eye sore, but if you’re only stopping off for a couple of nights or just using it to sleep there it’s a fantastic little space and really clean

Lots of stairs! Light on staircase not great.
Very clean and comfortable. Kitchen facilities good for a short stay. Handy for town / supermarket / health centre. Parking just outside the gate (limited time but fine if you're out during the day).

This residence is not for those with mobility problems and this fact should be included in the facilities listed in the profile of the residence. The reason being there are four flights of stairs to negotiate( includes a type of mezzanine level ). If a person has any sort of mobility issues, this would be a nightmare ( there is no lift ) and I don't think this is being too critical. Also the bedroom presents a problem for those of significant height as the slanting ceiling presents a challenge.
Location was good. Close to the cbd and bus transport facilities. Good value.

Kitchen electrical trip switched off couple of times just had to switch on again mainly when using the toaster. Tv/ Internet would freeze and take a while to work again.
Good clean apartment, light and spacious. All linden, towels all ready. Local shops nearby, everything needed for a short break. Ideal location to visit walney nature reserve.

My only minor issue was that it was right up on the top floor so anyone with heart conditions like me or with mobility issues may wish to bear this in mind. Worth the 63 stairs for the quality and value for money of the accommodation.

Small things: 60+ stairs to climb! Entrance at the back is a little off-putting at first (lot of rubbish etc) Kitchen is generally well-equipped, but surprising lack of dinner plates (only side plates and cereal bowls to eat from). Floor could do with a mop and I also found the pans were not clean.
Loads of space. Well-laid out and nicely decorated flat. Full laundry and cooking facilities. Parking outside the door (overnight - fine if you are out during the day). Easy walk to shops / restaurants.
