How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Everything was great but I do have to say that the shower was terrible, was not a heavy flow and almost scolding water. Ended up just using the spa shower for a decent wash, which I didnt mind as it wasnt far to go🙂
It was like having my own little place as I didnt have to walk through hotel lobby to get to my room. Bedroom was very clean, cannot fault. Housekeeping came in everyday like clockwork and turned the room around, loved getting that first impression every evening when I walked back tbrough the door to bed.

The only issue was no accessible plug sockets by the bed side-having to charge devices the other side of the room.
Easy access with car parking. Appreciated the fan in the room without having to ask as the weather gad started to brighten up this was a saviour! Nice clean facilities. Bed was okay.

Common areas smelled of spicy foods. Washing machine didn’t work. Windows cracked and surrounds were mouldy.
Short walk from rail station. Cooking facilities and lots of convenience stores nearby and there’s milk in fridge and cereals ready for breakfast. Shopping, dining and tourist stuff a short walk as is beach and coastal walk. Appreciated heaters I could control.

It was expensive for what you get at £165 room only, so I added breakfast at £15 a head and it was not good. At that price you expect some quality. Instead it was cheap poor quality sausages, cheap sliced bread and anemic tinned? Mushrooms. There’s nicer breakfasts in town and I wish I hadn’t wasted my money
The position on the seafront, its dog friendly and the staff are nice

Location was perfect, room 112 looked directly onto seafront and was 5 metres from the sea, parking was abundant and free. Hotel is 2 minutes walk to town centre

Only gripes are that bedside lamps didn't work and I couldn't log into WiFi despite several attempts.
Excellent hotel, food excellent, room couldn't have been better re views, heating, cleanliness and facilities. Will return asap.

It’s not the most modern interior but good value for money.
I received a room with a sea view! It was the best what I could ask for. Room was clean, bathroom was clean too. There were all things needed such as kettle and hair dryer. Nice touch are chair and coffee table by the window to look at the see.

My friend was charged £65 for the room and breakfast, I was charged £70 for a similar room and breakfast so unsure why there was this discrepancy.
Ideal location on the sea front. Very good quality breakfast.

Room was tired, decor wise, painted over old damaged paper. Plug socket in room not working. Extension lead so TV could be plugged in. Room cold when arrived (no room thermostat) had to turn on radiators.

The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but not too bad.
I was given a double bed and sea view when I hadn't paid for either. Great customer service. Nice controllable heating in the room.

My one gripe was that the TV for the room next door was on the same wall as my bed head. This meant I was woken up when the guest put their TV on, but I simply slept with my head at the other end of the bed, and it was fine. Closer to the window and the sounds of the sea!
My second stay here. Got the sea view I requested! Lovely clean rooms, tea and coffee in the morning while watching the waves.

The only thing I would say is the bed was too soft.
Parking was easy and convenient. Also the staff were really friendly. The room was clean.

The room was quite hot so we had to turn down the radiator which was fine but it was still warm. I think for £108 we could have had some use of the spa for free.
The view from the sea view room was absolutely amazing and the sound of the waves were so relaxing.

Great property in a perfect location. They were kind enough to upgrade our room as it was my husbands birthday and we had a brilliant stay. The room was very comfortable, and I love being able to see the sea from bed! Having parking round the back also just makes arrival very seamless. Thank you for a great stay.

Mattress too soft, room rather warm but fan provided. Wish I had known spa was closed for my stay.
