How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Advertised that there was parking available to reserve for a fee, however this was not the case. Poor communication about check in procedure.

Parking was a real issue. Didn’t have live T.V.
Wonderful property, the landlord was on the phone to ask about any problems that I had, like how to operate the cooker.

Just minor things like the shower leaks. There were 2 lock boxes outside and it was a bit confusing which one to use. Maybe some coffee pods for the coffee machine. All minor things though.
Really good flat for 5 people, comfortable and great facilities. The manager spoke to us on the way in via the intercom and was very helpful.

Stayed begging of February. The key collected from the Keybox had 2 keys, and the main key was snapper in half. Therefore we couldn't fully lock the accommodation. Half if the plates /mugs/bowls were thirdy inside the dishwashers, on arrival. Also just 3 or 4 prices of each type of crockery, it would useful a few more given that you have the use of the kitchen. We stayed 4 nights, and they provided only 1 dishwasher tablet and 1 for the washing machine, hence I had to wash by hand as the crockery as lasted only for 1 meal, and than I had no more available. The door of the washing machine was broken and been never fixed (my child nearly had an accident with it) . The shower went from boiling hot to cold, never a middle way. No mat in the bathroom, rather a front door matt, not great for when you get out of the shower. Also a bit stingy on toilet paper, only 1 full and 2 nearly at the end. Also no kitchen roll, I had to buy some. The Internet was patchy at best. Outside the bin under the stairs was overfull with previous waste, clearly never put out for collection. You can tell the place is just a cash cow and not real care taken.
It is a nice little place, but can do with a bit if love, rather than just be a cash cow.

It is not stated that it is on the lower apartment, no lights to guide and no availability of owner to help when needed. There was not a key left and we have to wait 2 hours to be able to get in the property when travelling with a toddler this is not easy. The property is supposed to be for 6 people however the sofa bed has no linen or sheets to be used so only 4 people could sleep in beds and the mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. The previous guests dirty linen and towels were left in bags and a bucket full of dirty water pushed into a covered that when opening the door fell out. The cot requested had no sheets or mattress whatsoever. This apartment is not suitable for more than 4 people as advertised and I would not recommend.

We requested a cot, which the hosts confirmed they could provide - no cot when we arrived. A strong smell of weed in the whole flat which I assume was from another flat in the building. Neighbours partied till gone 5am, keeping us & the baby awake - could hear whole conversations as it’s not very well sound proofed. Wouldn’t recommend travelling with your baby as per the above.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. I would definitely stay here again. The bathroom was really small but this didn’t bother any of us as it still had everything we needed.
Beautiful little apartment. Well equipped, warm and cozy with comfortable beds, a small outdoor area and in a great location to easily reach the centre of London. The hosts Erika and Jimmel were really helpful and replied to any communication quickly.

absolutely nothing
Amazing place to stay, exceptionally clean and had everything we needed (including an iron, ironing board, milk left in the fridge for us, a lovely outside area, comfy beds and extra bedding). Spacious, homely and super easy to locate and get into.

Missing tea towels, hand towels in kitchen. Hand towel in bathroom Suitcase under bed locked suspicious. Not nice as it could of been left by a previous person.
