The dinning room was a little cold for my partner at breakfast.

The room, reception, breakfast, and overall management was great. A very comfortable and conveniently located nights stay. Only sorry we didn't stay longer and sample the bistro! Would thoroughly recommend.

I left very early so didn’t use the communal tea/coffee area for fear of waking other guests, would have probably made myself a drink had I had facilities in my room but normally I’m sure it would be fine

A couple of minor bathroom observations. The shower wasn't very powerful and the ventilation fan made some strange noises in the night. Sure some maintenance would fix them.

Superb location on the main road, easy to find and just a few minutes walk from the town centre. Excellent sound-proofing meant a good night's sleep, and decent wifi. I enjoyed two meals in the restaurant (it's very popular so you need to book!) and tasty breakfasts - my favourite was the homemade warm banana bread! There's a tea and coffee nook for all guests to use and free sparkling water.

Everything. Close to town and shops/pubs, quirky little building, lovely clean, large room with a wonderful walk in shower/wet room, lots of hot water and clean fluffy towels, the bed was so comfortable and the little coffee/tea nook with unlimited biscuits down the corridor was great. Didn’t see proprietors but keys left in foyer with instructions and numbers on. Didn’t eat there but all in all good value and a nice little place.

A little noise over the kitchen but not overly so.

Friendly welcome. Clean and comfortable room. Comfortable bed. Fresh milk to make bottomless cups of tea and coffee, with biscuits. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast to order. 5 mins walk into main High Street.

Our room was overlooking a fairly major road, but we were not disturbed.

The property was very clean and the owner upgraded us to a larger room. We had everything we needed and it was very comfortable.

The restaurant could have been available had Booking.com'sinformation been correct

Breakfast was not included at this restaurant with rooms, but it was available and excellent and fair value. We had been led to believe that the restaurant would available on Booking.com. But we were told on arrival that they were not open Monday or Tuesday evening. Was this an error on the part of Booking.com

spacious rooms, comfy beds, simple decor, the tea/coffee/water in a little kitchenette on the same corridor is better than other hotels with kettles in the bedroom. Checking in and out was very simple and owners were very hospitable/flexible on time of arrival.

A little road noise in our front elevation bedroom but there was good double glazing and it really didn’t bother us too much.

Our room and the hosts were very inviting and we really enjoyed our short weekend break. A very big bonus was the bistro downstairs. The quality of the produce and the way it had been cooked was outstanding. Such a pleasure and at a very reasonable price for this culinary standard. Hosts also kindly held dessert for us until we returned from a concert we had booked. Lovely time . Thank you.

I wish we had been able to stay another night!

If you come here you have to book into the restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious! No fuss just amazing value and wonderful quality. The room was super comfortable and we didn’t have any issue with noise from traffic on the road to the front. Accommodating owners! Would highly recommend!

Ease of book in and ideal location. Short walk to Sherborne centre. Tea/coffee, fresh milk, biscuits, sparkling water plentiful and easy to access in the refreshments nook. Bistro, excellent food. Well worth trying the A La Carte menu, plenty of choice, delicious food and lovely atmosphere.

Right on a busy A road with no nice views.

We were lucky to have a room at the back away from traffic noise. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean. There was a cubby hole along the corridor with tea making facilities and free water in the fridge.

Not much to dislike, a slight downside was my room was on the side of the main road where you could hear the traffic, something I'm not used to. Not a problem if you didn't have the windows open of course.

Very convenient spot to explore delightful Sherborne. Owners were friendly and my breakfast was exceptional as made from fresh ingredients.
