I found nothing to dislike .

For my situation on my own to go fishing at pools with in easy reach this was perfect. The room was very peaceful and viewed the river . Very clean and well presented. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices . All the staff were very polite and engaging. Nothing too much trouble.

The was quite cold, as was the bathroom, and although the was some residual heat in the radiators, it was clear the heating system was set to turn off at some pre-determined time.

The room was clean and up to expectation. The dinner was OK, but the steak was grisly, it was sirloin so maybe I should have known better.

The lighting in the room was poor, it was very dark. Need more ceiling lighting. applies to both the room and the bathroom.

Dinner was very good, lovely atmosphere in the busy restaurant. Breakfast was also good, buffet could have offered a better fruit selection but the hot options were very good. Room was clean and spacious with a lovely view of the river. (Room 20)

The continental breakfast was exactly what we wanted with plenty of choice. Our room was a good size, clean and exceptionally peaceful with a view of the river running by. We stayed in for dinner and were pleased we had , it was delicious and served by friendly staff. In fact all the staff we met were very friendly and helpful.

Bed was a little hard for my personal taste.

A lovely characterful hotel. Loved my Juliet Balcony overlooking the river and the large bath towels. Staff were very friendly and obliging. Very clean and comfortable.

Rooms need a little refurbishment in some areas and the lighting was inadequate fir the size if the room but would not stop us returning.

Lovely location with beer garden overlooking the River. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Great location for visiting friends in Coventry. Friendly staff.

Climb into bath shower would be much safer with a hand rail to assist balance when getting in and out of the bath. At age 78 it was difficult to safely take a shower.

The hotel is due an upgrade so the staff tell me, and this is getting desperate. The carpet in room 3 was threadbare in parts. The lighting is poor in both the bedroom, and especially in the bathroom. There are no handles on the bath, and no grab rails, and this is dangerous for older guests. Reception was unmanned when I arrived, and I pressed the bell as instructed, but it took a few minutes before a very pleasant guy appeared (previously, reception has always been manned when I have arrived). Staff can be too few on the ground in the restaurant for breakfast, which means items are not topped up promptly enough in the self service part of the restaurant. The hot food is prepared individually (which is good!), but if you are in a hurry this may be a difficult for some. Alcoholic drinks in the restaurant are overpriced, especially wines.

Well positioned hotel in a quiet location, yet near to Coventry City Centre. I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions, and therefore it must be satisfactory for me. Staff friendly and helpful, including reception staff. A comfortable room with en suite bathroom with bath with shower over (my preference). Good breakfast menu with a reasonable choice. I took one evening meal, at which the service was good (rather than outstanding, but the restaurant was very busy), and the menu gave a reasonable selection. It was averagely priced, and offered reasonable value. Good free parking provision.
