How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

slightly dated decor
What a lovely stay we had here. I stayed with my 1 year old daughter and dog to climb Snowdon and everyone was so welcoming and accommodating. We are also vegan, and there were a few options for us. We particularly enjoyed breakfast; we had a cooked breakfast including vegan sausages waiting for us before our climb! While in terms of decor it’s not quite a 5* hotel, our experience was definitely 5*. Would recommend and would stay again.

All good. Nothink to dislike. Will stay there again.
Staff were helpfull, friendly & competent. Room was quiet & adequate, bed was huge. A little dust here x there and had a very new on suite. Corridor & room need updating to match the bathrooms. Restaurant was very pleasant, food tasty & breakfast was good too. Location was perfect for the Snowdon railway

Toilet not good when flushing!
Close to Railway station going to Snowdon, shops and buses! We rented a family room and it's nice! Has a pub, restaurant plus they offer good price for breakfast if you booked in at their hotel! Overall 4/5 stars!

2 single beds were pushed together to create a double, I like to spread out and the gap between makes that uncomfortable, pay for a double I should get a double.
Lovely staff, very welcoming and helpful. Amazing area, literally beautiful country. Private car park for my bike. Lovely full english breakfast on par with what I'm used to at my regular Cafe back home. Nice room with nice on suite.

The hotel is a bit old and creaky, lock on my room door had been badly repaired and was difficult to close properly. Not much atmosphere in the restaurant in the evening and a fairly limited menu (but the food was actually very good)
Comfortable bed, good sized room, spacious bathroom, plenty of hot water, good breakfast (reasonable value at £7.50), friendly, helpful (if slightly inexperienced) staff.

Someone else in a room just down from us that had a dog that barked several times throughout the night which meant we couldn’t sleep well at all

Noise coming from pub and lounge downstairs which was directly below us. Also, smoking area directly outside our windows meant we could not have our windows open even though is was very warm. Smoking areas should not be that close to the building for health and safety reasons.
Location and friendliness of staff. Size of family room and view from the restaurant.

The lobby looks very old fashioned but that's not a deal breaker. Also the pub and bar noise can disturb you on first floor.
A very comfortable hotel. Located close to Snowdon Mountain Railway station and Llanberis path. 2 convenience store within 100 Mt's of the hotel. In House restaurant is very good. Staff is very friendly. Family room has separate kids rooms with bunk beds.
