Very basic. Looks better in the pictures. It’s a very old and tired building so everything creaks and walls are thin. Suitable for 1-2 nights but that’s it.

Bathroom was Modern and room was clean. We didn’t have breakfast there so can’t comment. Decent size room.

One of the rooms smelt like cigarettes.

Beds were comfortable and enjoyed the complimentary bottled water. Restaurant on site was handy.

i think that the hotel is being updated and this will take time it didn't exceed expectations but it was comfortable i have nothing really bad to say about the hotel

the room was refurrbed but still looked a little dated but for the price it was good value. i would stay there again even though the location wasn't perfect for me travelling

The room I had was directly above the kitchen, so after the restaurant closed, there was an awful lot of noise , cupboard doors banging, pans clattering , this was after 11pm. Then around midnight , a dishwasher or washing machine was put on which again was very noticeable in my room.i rang downstairs reception to complain, but again theur English wasn't good so didn't really understand what I was talking about .

The breakfast was good, but I had a difficult time explaining what I wanted as the waiters English wasn't great

Standard rooms could do with a luck of paint and new bathrooms but they were perfectly adequate for a weekend away. We did see one of the better rooms and it did look pretty good!

I did ask for a twin room when I booked & also confirmed with them that this was ok. When I got there we was not given a twin room & they said only a family room left which I would have to pay extra for, so a bit disappointed there!!! I didn’t get the family room & was not willing to pay extra.

the bedroom was cold due to having an electric heater in place of a working radiator and therefore needed a thicker duvet. The towels were very thin and because the heated towel rail wasn't working, they remained permanently wet.

plenty of hot water available excellent parking

The room decor was a bit tired and the bed divan frame was old and torn BUT everything very clean and there was a mattress topper on the bed so in fact it was very comfy. The TV was broken and required a part to fix it which was not forthcoming during our 3 night stay BUT the manager offered to move us after the first night to a room with a working TV . However by then were planning to spend evenings with our daughter and we liked our room being at the back of the hotel (and therefore very quiet) - so we stayed put.

Staff were very friendly. Room was spotlessly clean. Bed was comfy. Big fluffy towels. Bottled water and biscuits replenished every day. Very central to Kenilworth - in fact on main road through it so pubs restaurants etc all very close. Didn't eat in the restaurant in the end so cannot comment on breakfast or meals but it all looked nice. Good sized car park - does get quite full but we always found space even the first night when the hotel was full.

A decent hotel in a convenient location but the rooms vary in quality and pricing can be odd.

My small single room was adequate, but poorly laid out as there was no power point near the head of the bed. That meant the lamp was positioned on a table at the foot of the bed and its light too weak to reach when I wanted to read in bed! So I had to leave on the overhead light, and get out of bed to switch it off by the door ... the same issue meant it was hard to use the hairdryer in a place where I could be close to the mirror. The wall heater was also either "on/off" meaning either blasting out heat or stone cold ... no temperature control, timer or thermostat. I felt I paid a lot compared to other stays at the same hotel - this time I paid almost as much for a single room for one, as two of us paid for an extremely nice superior double room last time.

Everything is very clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower was fine. The location is very convenient for me. There's plenty to recommend this hotel, but a lot depends on the room you happen to get. I've had better stays in different rooms.
