Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere is nothing to dislike. There was everything we needed for our stay. The only thing I would suggest is descaling the kettle or buying a new one.
Lovely complex, good facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

United KingdomFire alarm went off in a few of the lodges for a test (ours being one of them- v noisy but quickly resolved.) and we got stuck in the car park by a lorry for 10 minutes who was collecting rubble just as we were leaving but neither of these issues were down to the owner so not a complaint for them!
Cute little place, very relaxing and felt safe enough to let the kids have a bit of freedom whilst we chilled. (Swimming, volley ball and crazy gold a hit) Quick response from host with any questions we had!

United KingdomThere was nothing that we did not like.
Chalet is lovely! Kitchen is very well stocked with everything we needed for preparing and eating our own meals. The swimming pool on site is 17.5 meters - much longer than normal hotel pools. TV has access to Disney+, Netflix, Amazon Prime. Local pebble beach really is just five minutes walk down the road.

United KingdomToilet seat was broken in the downstairs bathroom when we arrived. Dvd player didn't work but that wasn't much of a problem, just might want to get it fixed for the next people. Also due to the Netflix houses rule, we didn't have it on the TV. Also not a problem but maybe don't advertise it as having Netflix.
All good. Everything was provided for. Comfy. Good stay

United KingdomThe indoor pool hours weren't that good. Would like to know it closed by 4.30.
Nice chalet with lots of games and toys for the kids. Nice playground and grounds. Plenty to do. The pool was great.

United KingdomElectricity is on a coin fed meter and we were only informed of this the day before our trip, which was a bit stressful as it was hard to find coins. It didn't add much to the total cost though, only around £7 per day so it wasn't an issue
The location was excellent, very quiet and close to the beach. The chalet had everything we needed and was very clean and warm. We loved the underfloor heating! And the kids loved the heated pool

United KingdomGreat location that is very close to the seaside. We enjoyed some nice walks and visited Walmer castle. My teenage daughter loved the speaker! We had a wonderful weekend. The host is also very kind. My daughter left her bracelet and it was wonderful that the cleaner found it abd the host offered to post it back. Very kind.

Such a cute place and walking distance to pubs and beach. Great onsite indoor swimming pool too which was a huge plus for us - particularly good for kids when it is rainy. Thanks for a fab stay - we had a really great time.

United KingdomStairs are very steep, have to take them very steady. Maybe a problem for some
Chalet was very nice, very homely, clean and comfy. The park is in a very good location close to the beach and an ideal base to explore the area with Margate, Dover castle and Canterbury all less than half an hour away. Free swimming on site and the teenager loved the WIFI! The electric runs on a £1 coin meter the thought of which did stress me out a little because I’ve never had one before but we actually only spend £1 a day on electric. We had a very enjoyable holiday and would stay again if we were on the Kent coast.
