Our stay here was like a home away from home. The hospitality was outstanding, and the bedroom and public rooms were amazing. The location was lovely and dog-friendly, with great food and beautiful walks nearby. Our converted stable room was surprisingly spacious and clean, with a large shower room. The restaurant offered excellent menu choices and impeccable service. Overall, a fantastic experience that exceeded our expectations.

Thank you to the super friendly staff, Kiera on reception was so welcoming and also another member of staff who served us afternoon tea, who’s name we didn’t catch but she was heading off skiing the next day :) lovely location, cosy and very dog friendly! Food was great and lovely walks nearby, will definitely be back.

My Husband I went to try out the spa facilities. the staff were incredibly polite and friendly but unfortunately the jacuzzi was very cold. the staff tried to amend this but to no avail. It was then the turn of the sauna..... this did not disappoint.

We ate in the restaurant during our visit and it was excellent. Great choice on the menu and it certainly didn't disappoint. Our room was in a converted stable and we were very pleasantly surprised at how lovely it was inc the large shower room. the whole venue was exceptionally clean. The Library and bar area included open roaring log fires and wood panelled walls. the perfect way to wind down after dinner.

I would recommend having a loose rota for spa use- it's really only big enough for 4 people max at any time

Our room was on the second floor and could only be reached by stairs. It was a bit of a slog up the 40 stairs. However, we were offered assistance with our case. Being a listed building, the floor in our room was rather creeky.

The staff were extremely helful and friendly. It appeared that nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast is normally served from 08:00, but because we needed to be picked up at 08:20, arrangements were made for us to have breakfast earlier. Our room was on the seciond floor and was very large indeed. Location of the hotel provided wonderful views.

There were robes provided, but they were really small and snug, so wouldn't have been suitable for all guests.

This hotel was wonderful. All of the staff working at the hotel were really welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious with wonderful views and a lovely, comfy bed. The milk and homemade cookies were a nice touch. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, and the food was delicious. Breakfast was freshly cooked to a high standard. All of the waiting staff were polite and very efficient

Room was two level with the bed upstairs abd bathroom down stairs. Cute to look at but a chore going up and down all night for the bath.

The bed was a little hard and very high. The duvet was sooo thick and heavy which seemed to pin you to the bed as it was falling heavily over the sides. Also very hot. There was no lift which was a little difficult as we were on the second floor and my husband has a disability.

Large comfortable room with all amenities available. Beautiful view of the grounds and farmland. Breakfast was plentiful. Table service.
