Only thing that stopped me from scoring a 10 was the size of our room. Manageable for one night, but might have been too small for any longer.

The location of Plas Weunydd was perfect for us and the staff at the hotel couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, great selection, regularly refreshed and the staff in the dining room went above and beyond for us and our dog Lemmy.

We was upgraded to king size deluxe from standard double but the room was upstairs and so hot even with 2 fans. We was unable to open windows as hundreds of midges come in the night. Spoke to receptionist and was moved to a ground floor room much cooler. The breakfast and food wasn’t the tastiest.

Very friendly and helpful staff in a clean facility, with good food available, albeit from a limited choice menu. The location suited my plans for exploring this part of Wales. Overall, it was good value for money.

Just minor things. Breakfast wasn’t the best, rooms, even with up grade are a little small but the upgraded room had a large bathroom with wall in shower which was great. The mirrors and lighting seems all in the wrong place so my wife struggled with applying her make up etc. no plug socket next to the mirror to do her hair with.

Good food, some nice dishes on the menu, doubt there’s much else nearby unless you want to travel into Porthmadog. Staff are really great, friendly and helpful. Rooms where clean and adequate. Great location.

Car park was full due to poor parking of guests, hotel staff let us park on the access. Receptionist was light on welcoming information, as I had to ask where the room was and what time breakfast was. Check time was not reiterated but I was due to leave early so didn't make any difference. Other than that was a lovely stay

Not a lot of options of food for breakfast (given the price) but it was a buffet.

Very lovely, paid for budget (double) roombut it looked like a normal sized room, so that exceeded my expectations. Clean room and nicely decorated, fitted with a smart tv, fan, a desk and chairs (which not all hotels do), good WiFi connection. Comfortable, nice big bathroom with a tub and lots of “storage” space. Dining area also lovely and nicely decorated! Wish I got to stay longer, would come back.

The food was expensive for what it is, £15 for breakfast which is a lot if you're only having scrambled egg on toast or Cereal. Dinner was nice, i had the burger which tasted very fresh but the pizza tasted like a frozen one from tesco. There was a poo smell coming from our bathroom which was either the drains or the dirty toilet brush (which we didn't use and found on our last night, covered in loo roll and sat in dirty water in its holder). I notified the staff early on but there wasn't much that could be done other than to keep the drains plugged and the bathroom door shut, this helped but it was off putting.

Staff were friendly and the hotel is modern with a good amount of space, clean and tidy, great location for other towns and easy to find. Looks great from the outside at night and there's a beautiful view at the front. Lots of parking. We got an upgrade which we really appreciated and all staff were happy to help with anything. Bed was comfy and warm, sleep quality was amazing which can be hard for some away from home, bath and shower were clean and spacious compared to a lot of other hotels and it was nice to be able to spread out.

Amazing hotel, perfect location, staff were welcoming and friendly, room was beautiful and great being able to have a bath after our walk up Snowdon. Breakfast was lovely, and just what we needed to be on our way in the morning.
