Exceptional cottage, tucked away. Chris goes out his way to make you welcome. Lovely cottage, large sitting room with log burner, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and lovely bedroom with comfy bed. Fantastic.

This was a great find for my one night stay. Communications from Chris before arrival were great. Met on arrival by Chris who gave me a very friendly welcome and then showed me around the cottage. Lovely double bedroom with ensuite bath with large bath, separate TV room, fully equipped kitchen and another bathroom with shower. In a rural location I was surprised but delighted to find full fibre super fast broadband included. Parking right outside the door.

Not a lot!

Friendly welcoming host and great facilities, essentially staying in part of his home while he moved into a campervan in the driveway. We had the use of a guest bedroom with large comfortable bed and bathroom/loo plus TV room on the ground floor, the hall and landing, the upstairs kitchen/diner and shower room, and also a patio area outside that we didn't have time to use. Towels, bed linen and tea/coffee facilities provided, and use of kitchen, fridge and hob/oven/microwave for self-catering, so very economical! Very convenient for the M6 at Carnforth and on the SE corner of the Lakes, and access to local attractions was very easy.

Cleanliness was generally poor, with exception to the bedroom and tv room. Could do with a deep clean. Shower toiletries were to be included but this was just a bar of soap each (brand new & sealed), which wasn’t expected. Some mini toiletries would have been much better.

Very friendly host. Very spacious property and lots of natural light. Comfortable bedroom and cosy tv room. Also great bedside lamps with wireless charger!

The host stayed in a motor home on the drive. The drive was very dark at night. It was quite cold even with radiators on. The bedding although clean were cotton making it cold at first. A bit more care in cleanliness is needed especially the fridge. Few cobwebs about.

The host was very friendly. The lounge area was cosy with the log burner. Bed pretty comfy and really dark as no light or noise pollution outside. Overall enjoyed the full cottage to ourselves.
