Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere was no restaurant and the website didn't say anything about this. If I'd known, I wouldn't have booked
The room was comfortable although a little out dated but the bed was comfortable and clean.

United KingdomVery disappointed that we was bit made aware prior to arrival that the venue would be used as a covid19 center for vaccinations and testing. This cause so much in settling feelings we was unable to use the full facilities of the venue. The rooms were outdated, tired and worn down along with the amenities within the room an update is needed
Price was reasonable

Austriaon google maps its wrong tagged (I know its not your fault, but its really bad seaching half an hour on a bike in a place, where there is no hotel!! - please make sure your guests will not be confused by that again!) when I arrived, I was really irritated, cause the name is not the same "Hotel Warwick" I had on my booking confirmation, but it was "Ramada Hotel". In the morning for no reason the fire alarm got on, I was the only one who left the hotel to find the assembly point. 2 times someone (cleaning person, worker) entered my room, while I was in there in the morning, without knocking! My room was on the ground floor and the windows are not constructed to leave them open safely during the night.
staff was friendly, but dont have background information e.g. about, why the hell I should fill in a form for food allergies?! (I didn`t eat there) or where I could store my bike over night.

United KingdomThe first room we were put in was on the top floor. The door looked liked it had been forced open. The walls and furniture were stained, like someone had thrown a teabag at the walls. Headboard had pieces of fabric hanging off, and there were dead flies all around the window sill. Worst hotel room I have ever seen.
The room we got upgraded to was acceptable and comfy. The lady in reception was very nice and helpful and relocated us after we complained about the first room. Also the breakfast was good.

United KingdomTired, needs investment. Bathroom has a mouldy ceiling, it’s tricky but clearly has been like it for some time. The shower fixings we’re loose. Showers in the morning are pointless as the pressure is non existent- literally a dribble. All our group had the same issue. Hair dryer in the drawer looks like it had been thrown around the room a handful of times. Doors on wardrobe need refitting as do the drawers on the cabinet as they are broken and off the runners. The bed needs replacing as the base is broken so mattress follows the line of it. (being in the furniture trade I know all of these things are easy fixes) My colleague had to change rooms twice as the door to the rooms looked like they had previously been kicked in so wouldn’t close correctly. Bar is small - there used to be a larger bar but it’s been converted into a restaurant which we didn’t use. Staff didn’t seem to be happy to be there. I wouldn’t say they were rude just the impression of being disinterested. They are probably fielding a lot of complaints and getting nowhere. If there is a plus side it’s cheap - but all in all it felt like a hotel which may be being used for social service work and a holding point. The hotel is currently also being used as a Covid centre which doesn’t really cause an issue that we saw.

United KingdomThe rooms are basic and tired. Curtains hanging off their hooks and letting in daylight. TV's with no remote controls in the room, and some that do have a remote control there is no TV signal. The wifi is intermittent when using a work laptop. The rooms just need a refresh. No AC working and the rooms are very warm. All guest rooms seem to have two fans in them to help cool them down but they are not powerful enough.
Reception staff tried to put the things which were wrong.... right, by offering another room, but the issue was generic and I had to try 3 rooms in total. But the Receptionist would have kept going until the customer was happy which was refreshing. A big plus was that the guest room had service each day of my stay, and the hospitality tray and toiletries were replenished. Some hotels do not provide daily servicing due to what they class as 'Covid-19' precautions.

There was a musty smell in the room, the sheets smelled, cups smelled, there were cobwebs. The furniture was ripped and everything in the room outdated. Curtains and nets dirty. For half the price fine not for £61. Hotel needs refurbing. I left one day earlier.

United KingdomThe hotel was difficult to find, when you google maps the name of the hotel it shows a completely different location. It also wasn't advertised as a Ramada and didn't live up to the standards of what I would expect a Ramada to be. There was no handsoap in the bathroom and the shower curtain was unpleasant. We were in a ground floor room directly next to the side entrance so had to keep curtains closed for the whole stay for privacy, however there was no main ceiling light in the room and all side lamps were of different brightness and colour bulbs. Also, to get air into the room we needed the windows open however people came and smoked directly outside our room which then filled the room with the smell of smoke. The room felt very run down and was disappointing.
The shower pressure was good, wasn't expecting much considering how disappointed we were with the rest of the room. The iron was also good, other than that, not many positives.
