How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Housekeeping staff were disappointing in their cleanliness. A dirty cleaning cloth left in our bathroom sink a long with coffee stains as they had obviously emptied a cup in the sink and not cleaned it. We stayed three nights and did not receive clean water glasses during our stay.
Breakfast and our evening meals were excellent. Bar and restaurant staff very friendly with exceptional service.

Pool should be included in room price
Good location. 5 minute walk from seafront. Room was very spacious and clean with modern styling and good shower and complimentary water, lots of tea and coffee.

We unfortunately werent overly impressed with our room. Firstly, the carpet was stained in multiple places. We booked a night away from the children to have us time and one of the things we were looking forward to was chilling in bed watching our favorite series. However our firestick was blocked from watching. I dont really understand why this was, which meant we only had normal tv.
The breakfast was absolutely amazing. Couldnt fault that and the staff at breakfast were brilliant. They made sure everything was on offer at all times and were very helpful. The hotel itself was clean in general & the highlights of the room were the bed & shower.

No hot water in either of our rooms in the evening or in the morning despite running the water for 10 mins! Not happy at having a cold/ tepid shower. Also pillows very hard - could have one hard/ one soft for each person as option?

the plates which are extremely hot at breakfast time, even with the supplied serviettes, its hard to not burn your hands, a tray would have been a good option. The shower wasnt the best, low pressure, also the towels were not replaced, they were left on the floor.
The hotel is in a good location and has free parking which is a bonus. The beds are very comfortable and had a great nights sleep. The breakfasts are good too, very fresh and hot.

The room was well equipped but very small. On a very busy rd. The floor boards creeked badly which was very annoying at night.
Location is on a very good bus route into Waymouth and Dorchester. Used the bus a lot as the parking charges in both are expensive.

Room did not have an easy chair - needed to ask for safety mat for the shower - having asked for a room near the reception due to mobility problems , the room I was allocated was the furtherest distance possible from reception possible - even the porter carrying the bags noted the location- miles from reception !!!
Friendly staff ,responded vey well to requests , good food well presented , good parking - well heated and good maintenance

The room we stay was a bit warm that we couldn’t put the temperature down but manageable with an open window though the downside is very noisy that you coumd here people chatting as they passby or going home or when there is delivery early morning.
Good location. Clean and with good facilities, my kids love the swimming pool .

Bedroom carpet could do with a clean. Very mouldy around bathroom window. Room a little on the small side/sloping ceiling. Drinks were a lot more expensive than local pub.
Good walking distance to beach/shops. Free parking. Friendly staff. Well stocked hospitality tray. White fluffy towels. Clean and comfy bed.

A bit far from the riverside bars and restaurants but wouldn’t put me off coming again.
