Everything was absolutely wonderful, spotlessly clean and a a real home from home feeling. Very well equipped kitchen with high quality white goods. Lots of space for everyong to relax and even have a sauna and hot tub. Cannot recommend these chalet lets highly enough, and the owners are fantastic.

It is not something we “did not like”,but maybe providing a bathrobe to go from the chalet to the Jakuzzi, would render the experience even better in case of windy days 😄 (which happen a lot on Lewis) ! But this is really a detail.

Everything was perfect, and our host was the most welcoming. The Chalet itself is like a fully-equipped house. The Jacuzzi is a real plus!

Riverside Chalet is the perfect family accommodation. The chalet itself has been finished to an incredibly high standard, with a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, high speed Wi-Fi and fantastic amenities (the hot tub was used daily!). The location is simply perfect. Easily accessible for all the island’s tourist must-sees (standing stones, broch, black houses to name but a few), you are also a 3 minute walk away from Borgh Pottery. There is also Borve House Hotel less than a 5 minute walk away where you can get a decent lunch and enjoy drinks whilst the kids run around the play park. Oh, and just a short walk across a couple of fields and you have a secluded little beach where you can sit and watch the sun go down. What more could you ask for?!

There was nothing we didn't like. The location was beautiful and the property was terrific.

This property is described as a chalet but it's much more than that - it's a very well appointed 2 bed house. It is located down a long private drive next to a river and there is ample privacy from the owner's own house. The chalet is very well looked after and extremely clean and comfortable. In the grounds it has a raised deck so you can look out over the garden and croft to the sea not far away. There is also a hot tub and a sauna. The owner had left us the best welcome basket we've ever seen - and we've seen a few - and was very friendly.

The house was amazing & exceeded my expectations. The hot tub & sauna which were located inside a shed were fantastic & meant it didn't matter if it was raining outside! My son enjoyed the table football, mini pool & darts etc also located inside the shed at the bottom of the garden. The hotel across the road was great for meals & did takeaway too.

We really enjoyed our stay, it was relaxing and comfy. Everything you need is in the chalet. The hot tub and sauna were brilliant. Shop nearby and lovely hotel you can walk to to for a relaxing drink or food. We appreciated the lovely welcome basket.

Very to no hooks on the walls to dry or store your towels or wet clothes.

Nice hosts, view on the sea, great inside design and equipment, nice beds. They even provided snacks for us and we could use the hot tub and a sauna every day (which are next to the hut) after a long walk. Thank you so much for the great time!

Our expectations were far exceeded. The attention to detail (wine rack, flame effect fireplace, hot tub with sauna, games room, music and lights) the high standard of decor, the quality of finish (Farrow & Ball, plush, deep pile carpets) and cleverly planned lay out shows the chalet build was a labour of love. The welcome basket contained the basics as in bread, milk, butter, porridge etc but also a gift box of shortbread, Tunnocks, tea cakes and Prosecco. The property is located a short walk away from the beach in one direction and a short walk away from a hotel, bar and restaurant in the other. The host (Eddie) was on site so able to help with small details and amenities. In summary, we were so impressed with this property. It was a short visit a friend’s uncle (now sadly passed) but will be back as it’s ideally located and so welcoming in every way.
