How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I was a bit sceptical about the area when I first arrived. But it was really quiet and no bother at all.
The property was clean and all facilities provided. If you stay in Barrow then this is a good place to stay. Home from home. The shower is great. Real power shower. Beds comfy. Very comfortable stay. Would stay there again if I ever went back to Barrow.

I emptied the car and we went to the town to do some shopping and when I got back I found the back door was unlocked and in the back yard there was a grid and there was dog ends in there which clearly hadn’t been cleaned up also when I was cleaning the living room I found a vape and a packet of roll up papers as well as it was filthy and obviously hadn’t been cleaned
there was a lot of room and it had everything I needed with regards to cooking and the beds were comfortable

-the “goodies/condiments were completely missing (not a single spoon of sugar, or salt, or some tea). the first property I ever stayed in not to find anything. -it wasn’t dirty, but it wasn’t clean. -some fights during the night and a broken window to the next door property so we were in a sort of constant stress while we were inside the property.
cheap, spacious, near to town center. I would recommend it for someone who wants to visit Lake District.

Really spacious house close to supermarkets : Aldi and Morrison . House is beautiful and very clean. Wifi,smart tv, fridge etc. We really enjoy staying there. If we could we give 6*.

Only real downfall was it could have done with curtains on the bedrooms as my grandson was up with the 1st light of dawn he is 6 so hes awake everyone is awake no fun at 5.30 every morning Also front door covering would be nice as everyone that passed would catch your eye bit unsettling but you can get used to door but rooms could do with curtains definitely
It was close to main town so walking distance and lots of restaurants and bars if that's what you like the house was well equipped with all you would need and extras such as washer dryer which you dont always get so I had no washing to take home only what I stood in and night wear so that makes all the difference no dread of the washing when I got home also very clean and modern it was quiet so you could sleep well I wouldn't hesitate to use again highly recommend this to anyone

Great location for the lakes, no more than 30 mins to Coniston or Windermere, Beautiful on Walney Island too. Shops are within walking distance and larger retail units a short drive. Should you want to stay and cook, the house has everything you need. There are so m any nice places to eat, that we took full advantage of those.

Well, I am not a dog lover. However I had to empty the vacuum cleaner which was full of pet hair and dog smell.The last person used it forgot to empty it?That is my only complaint.Otherwise excellent place to stay for a reasonable cost. Good for families.
Location is easy to access.plenty of street parking.Surroundings are a little untidy.Neighbouring streets were littered with rubbish.
