Enquired about the free parking, was told there was a a parking bay on site. When arrived at the property I messaged to ask for the location of the bay and got no response. Spoke to some locals and they said there was no bay for that flat at all. So that was disappointing as the parking on the road is permit parking. Also the windows in the back bedroom were very drafty and were bodged to try and fix them.

Comfortable beds. Good kitchen facilities. Good living room with tv to use.

No instructions to gain access, we were literally stood on the doorstep phoning repeatedly. Dishwasher was full of dirty crockery, pretty awful as we were wanting a cuppa on arrival. Not even one piece of toilet paper in the bathroom. No milk or anything in the fridge.

Nice decor, quite quirky. Rooms were clean.

Better advice as to which key box to use, (there are 2 and use the right hand one) that the apartment is at the top of the house (the landing area is dark as a bulb is out!) and exactly where the building is on the street. It is not well lit when you arrive in the dark for you to see the numbers. You need to take all essentials i.e., washing up liquid, tea towels, Hand wash, cling film, foil, pan scrubber, dishwasher tablets, scissors, etc The kitchen could be better equipped with some basics as it is a hassle taking so much for a short stay. One tip I would have is to double check where to find the parking permit. It was left for me in the key box. Don’t get a ticket, make sure it is in your car! The heating failed although I did manage to get it on in the evening I couldn’t in the morning. It was really cold so we ended up going out for breakfast instead of cooking ourselves. The apartment is lovely but does need a bit of TLC to update it and make it feel a real home from home.

Location as it was close to the hospital where my niece (who lives in Jesmond) needed to be at 8.30am and I was taking her. Lots of lovely places to shop and eat in Jesmond. It was just off a main road so easy to get to by car. Lots of parking spaces on the street too so no worries about parking. Not a through road so reasonably quiet. It has character and the beds were really comfy!

The phone reception in the area wasn't that great and I didn't like how the heating and hot water was not working when I arrived and I had to call the host to come and fix it. Dan the host is a top guy and was very helpful.

The location was decent 20 minute walk away from Newcastle city centre. The TV, the beds, the Wi fi in the apartment were all good.

Adequate in most respects but more effort is needed to make this place a bit more welcoming.

Front garden and entrance area (shared) a bit depressing - more than one keybox with no advice on narrowing it down. Some lights not working, dishwasher not working and not enough toilet paper for a one night stay.

Location very good - some nice restaurants nearby and an excellent bakery within a short walk.
