When we arrived there was no signage to check in and we stood fr 10 mins with bags, a local drinking told us all the staff were in kitchen. THe bar area is very run down and a bit smelly no breakfast included and all locked up when we left. Curtains very thin and as facing the pub garden and a noisy junction would appreciate thicker ones only 2 tea bags :( hot water was on and off very narrow staircase up and down

room was adequate for price bed suprisingly comfy and bedding clean

Unfortunately arrived during a power outage on the premises, so the pub/restaurant was not as welcoming as we had anticipated. No evening meal available, as expected. Access to rooms via a spiral stair case on opposite side of building with uneven path and muddy beer garden to walk through. I guess the room was what you'd expect for the price... toilet seat broken and just two small (mismatched rough) towels available for showering. Rickety dressing table stool and wobbly clothes rail. Kettle in room would not fit under the tap and odd sized cups. Just a bit of tlc could improve this but sadly property is situated between two busy roads, so not the peaceful country retreat. No breakfast available next day due to power issues. Pub locked up and no-one available to speak to when checking out. So never got to feedback face to face.

Price and availability at short notice (know why now!)

To get access to the rooms you had to wet grass and mud then climb a slippy metal spiral staircase. The rooms had nothing to hang the clothes on. It was reasonably clean. Although bed was comfortable and clean. No cups for toothbrushes. The cups for the coffee only changed once. 2 Towels only and not changed. The Berkley is in a very busy road. Although the windows have kept the noice down. The Tennants are new and very friendly and we wish them all the success for the future.

Breakfast wasn’t freely available. Apparently only Saturday and Sunday . The other days you had to let them know the day before. We left Sunday morning but there wasn’t anyone on the premises.

When I got into the room it was clean but the Bedding wasn’t ironed , to me that’s very off putting as I expect to see fresh Ironed bedding , when it’s creased it gives the impression it’s been used , and although I was assured it was clean and fresh it didn’t give me that feeling , there was also half used shower gel on top of shower and bin had not been emptied from previous person

The location was great , the food on offer was well priced and nicely cooked . Room was okay and pleased that I was at the back of the property so away from the road noise . It was nice to be able to get fresh milk as forgot to stop on route . Towel was lovely and soft bathroom had a walk in shower which is much better to the phone box type showers you find in a lot of places . Plenty of tea and coffee supplied

Outside was a total mess , rubbish , cigarette butts , weeds , The place looked uncared for . I didn't go inside the bar as it was closed so I cant comment there.. road was a bit noisy & I guess it may have noise issues if the bar had been open

Nice clean room , comfortable for an overnight stay. The bar was closed on monday but the communication was good & they came to let me in & give me the key plus internet access code

I've stayed here a few times , this time was for 2 nights. I've never been on a busy night , but the couple that own the pub are so friendly and remember your name. That's a wonderful memory 😊... I can't fault it . The room was comfortable and they did me a special meal for the 2nd night . The pub is one of my favoured places depending where I'm working

The family quarters were on the same landing as our room. Children were running up and down until 10 o'clock. They were polite when asked to stop but the noise continued. The room was above the bar with loud music and shouting until around midnight. The toilet seat spun off and the shower door came off its runners when I opened it to get out. We'd got a long journey but as a result of all this, we were really tired.

Holly was lovely and couldn't have been more friendly. The location was great being near to the M5 as we had a long journey the next day.

We booked to stay here through booking.com. when we arrived we were surprised by the fact we had to go up outside spiral metal stairs. Which is not stated any where on their website or on booking com. if it had been I would not if booked it as my mum is disabled and my a six year old is visually impairmed. So extremely dangerous.vwry slippery in the wet weather It is not suitable for any one with disabilities. God knows what they would of done if I had taken my son who is in a wheelchair. So we got up the stairs. To find the room I had booked was already booked out and as I had booked a family room which was two double beds and a single the owner assumed it was for a couple and a child. Not my mum my daughter and me. so she moved us without notifying me that she was doing this as I would of said no cancel the booking. So my poor mum ended up a a old hard sofa bed! Not sleeping at all my daughter had to share a bed with me so I got no sleep as we all know children sleep across the bed or on you. There was no Wi-Fi password on the room. No toiletries as stated on booking.com. There was an awful bright green light on in the lounge all the time where my mum was sleeping I'm assuming this was the emergency fire light but it was so bright it lit up the whole room. I complained when we left and the owner claimed she couldn't put a her own write up on booking.com about the property being unsuitable for disabled. But when I pointed out it wasn't even in there own website she just went quite. Turned around and slammed the door shut. No offer if a refund or an apology. So be warned any one with disabilities avoid

    Leaving!

but I found the curtains light so they allowed in too much light, personally I need black out curtains. Both rooms were subject to noise particularly the other room this was due to the drain cover that every single car seems to drive over. We appreciate that we didn't book breakfast but the doors weren't open so we couldn't come into the main area. I may have missed the notice about the need to go up the spiral staircase but if I didn't you need to let people know about this. It would also be useful to have the wifi details in the room. I did ask for the menu to be emailed me the day before we arrived but that didn't happen. I don't like to sound so negative but I hope you can take the constructive criticism to improve the experience for future guests. Good luck with your new venture

I think it would have been a nice touch to have the heating on before we arrived as the room was freezing and took a long time to warm up.apart from that it was spot on.

It was a short distance from Worcester cathedral and it was proper country side just beautiful.the breakfast was brilliant.
