Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe bathroom was shared but we knew that when we booked, it was clean ( it may have been a problem if the other room had been booked also when we stayed) The bath was quite slippy but solved the problem by placing a small towel in bath before showering ( the addition of a non slip bath mat available for the bath would be good ) The shower was OK and the water temperature fine
The location was great, close to the beach and coastal path The church and castel are nice places to visit The staff were very nice and friendly The manager was very good and made us feel very welcome We ate at the pub and the food was very nice with good portions It was a quirky pub and the entertainment when we stayed was good and fun the locals were very friendly We had the sheets and towels changed twice a week and the tea and coffee facilities in the room were good

United KingdomMy only reflection would be the room I had was ideal as a base for a weekend but it wasn't massive. So if you are looking for somewhere to explore from then this was perfect if you are looking for somewhere to stay and relax for a longer period of time, one of the other rooms light be more appropriate.
The Manorbier Castle Inn was ideally located for my needs. I was at a wedding at the castle and this accomodation was in very easy walking distance to the castle, church and beach. The staff were very friendly, the pub and accomodation had a nice intimacy to it and the standard and cleanliness were lovely.

United KingdomWe had a charming time in the quaint village of Manorbier - still don't know how to pronounce! We were instantly welcomed and felt right at home. The pub had exceptional food, we ate there every night that they served, however not the most varied selection of ales - not that this was a problem! The location was gorgeous, the coastal walks were splendid and the castle and church looked very beautiful in the misty rains. The host kindly upgraded us to a larger room as ours was out of use for no extra cost. Overall was a lovely stay and would love to visit again.

United KingdomParking can be a bit of an issue but there is a beach shop directly opposite the pub. We spoke to the owners who allowed us to park there, we paid £10 for 24 hrs. Peace of mind when you can see your car out of the room window. There is some parking on the street if you can nab it.
Stayed in the bay room I believe which was very comfortable. There is a shared bathroom with the other room but was not a problem for us. Theres a kitchen with all the amenities which you can also use. We stayed for two nights as we were attending a wedding at the castle. The pub staff are very friendly, we ate there one evening and the food was very good. I enjoyed my stay.

United KingdomKettle and teabags in room but no milk Kettle and teabags in room but no cups There was a communal kitchen but no milk nor cups there either, nor was there hand-wash or dish soap - horrible, esp. given Covid. Can hear every conversation down in the bar until closing time, then delightfully awoken before 8 a.m. Sunday morning by tables and chairs being scraped around and moved. If that doesn't wake you the gushing, bare pipes running the length of the room will. Loads of additional annoyances like no bin in room, awful over-bath shower in a communal bathroom (super slippery, be careful), an iron but no ironing board, a TV in the room but no TV reception ETC. Finally, one thing I despise in this day and age, is being made to feel uncomfortable as a gay couple on arrival. "Oh we've only got one double room booked" - to the dirty looks of 3 men sitting on the table next to the bar when confirming that that's correct. Would not stay at this hostel again.
Cheap enough, although given hostel-esque experience, probably over priced on retrospect. Good location for an event at the castle and to get to the beach. No on site parking but free on-street parking just up the road. Large comfortable bed.
