Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBathroom would benefit from a towel rail/radiator as the fan didn't seem to clear the condensation after showering, making the room damp
Lovely area not far from the beach and town. Good location as a base to visit other areas. Nice walk to Rhos on sea. Owner very friendly and helpful, also providing a welcome pack of goodies.

United KingdomIs advertised as dog friendly but I wouldn't really say it is. No separation between any room except bathroom so you'll need a v well behaved dog (as mine is thankfully) to stay in their bed when needed. One found the bed comfy and other didn't but that's not anyones fault.
Location was good, had all you needed there.

United KingdomA few small niggles and they are small. WiFi didn't really work due to a poor signal. Not a huge issue for us but might be for others. All light switches near the door. Trust me an issue if you need the loo at 2am!!
Easy to find and access. Clean, well appointed apartment. Easy to access town and the beach. Park up and forget the car.

United KingdomGenerally everything was good! If I had to be picky... The part of the shower holder that held the shower head had broken in the sense it made it fall. We made it work by leading it back but it did get messy and was a bit annoying. Cobwebs and spiders in most rooms and around appliances.
Dog friendly, dogs not allowed on soft furnishings but ours isn’t at home so this wasn’t a problem for us. Excellent location, we had a dog with us and walked into town and to most places we wanted to go in the area. On site parking for the annex. Appliances were relatively new, easy to use and the pans looked new and very clean. Lovely breakfast bar to sit at. Host was lovely and a text/phone call away. TV had Amazon fire stick which was handy. There was parking and the general surfaces were very clean which cleaning products below the sink to help keep on top of it. Place has a mini freezer which was a nice surprise. perfect for a 2-5 day stay for 2 people I would say! Lots of towels provided and spare beddings which was good as the towels did struggle to dry in the annex even on the maiden. Toilet roll provided. We brought some but the large roll within lasted two of us 5 days! Gorgeous view from windows where you can see the see and the sky gets lit up by the sunset. Round the corner from a nice woodland walk and at the top of the hill there’s the pub the Pen-y-Byrn which we went to twice, once for food and once for a drink! Also made multiple trips to Haus coffee shop as their coffee was delicious and so reasonably priced! These are not linked to the property or reflecting it but more reflecting our trip and the local shops …but would not recommend the local Morrisons it was dingy, the parking was a faff and the stock was all off - but the local Lidl and Asda were good! Those are just things I would like to know! :) All in all a lovely, restful and well needed break. Thank you for having us!

United KingdomMisleading photos on website make the property look much bigger and showing photos of a beach which was not close by, strong smell of damp throughout despite window being open on arrival, shower holder was broken so not easy to shower, hot water ran out after one shower, bedroom was home to several spiders with thick dust and cobwebs behind the bedside table, no sheet for the sofa bed so had to fold duvet in half and sleep on that, leather sofa very uncomfortable with tv way too high. We did not complain as we were busy and out for most of our stay and just needed a place to sleep.
Easy check in, close to shop, nice quiet location, easy parking, adequate facilities for a night, good wifi, nice bathroom with plenty of big towels, owner easy to contact and friendly, nice garden.

United KingdomThe shower wasn't draining so on closer inspection we found lots and lots of hair and the cover from a ladies razor in the draining section. Clearly not cleaned before our arrival. The bedroom was tiny, bed smaller than a standard double and the position of the radiator was unpleasant as every time my husband moved he touched the freezing cold radiator. We covered this with a towel in the end to prevent this. The bed was soft and uncomfortable. We both ended up perching on the sides of the bed so that we didn't 'roll' into each other whilst trying to sleep as it dipped in the middle. Consider changing this. The vent in the bathroom was not fit for purpose and the entire property felt damp, this is clearly not a new thing as there was a dehumidifier (not sufficient) in the kitchen area. Couldn't keep windows open during the day when we were out as they opened at waist height and would have left the property unsecured. No other windows were anywhere to be able to open these. The light switches were all in the kitchen area which was a pain at night when wanting to use the bathroom. The TV is mounted high up on a wall which wasn't particularly comfortable to watch and the quality of Wifi was bad. There was too much furniture in the small room which made it feel very cramped. We travelled with our dog and wanted to vacuum after him but even after charging the vacuum cleaner it wasn't very strong.
The property is in an excellent location in town. Super quiet which was very good. The location of the property was well suited for our itinerary. The welcome items on arrival were unexpected and good. Living area was clean.
