We selected the hotel because there was an EV charger. There were indeed 3 chargers, but none of them worked. Really disappointing.

All round an excellent experience. The room was fabulous, superb breakfast and also dinner (although a bit pricey and the wine was very expensive).

The GM not listening when I called to discuss moving the date due to my partner being ill (type one diabetic), and after I had told him I was hard of hearing.he still kept talking at me. Evening meal good but not great (with no seasoning) definitely not value for money with each course being c£30.

This lovely hotel needs to be wary of where they sit within their "shabby chic" design philosophy.

Didn't realise it was a dog hotel - dogs barking at dinner and breakfast were a bit much. Food was fantastic, but some of the waiting staff were inexperienced and a bit unprofessional

No bath plug, and the shower screen seal was very mouldy.

Lovely cosy room. As it is an old building, the floorboard breaking from above was very loud. Beds were comfy, lovely toiletries, good triple glazing, and nice touches such as the biscuit jar, sleep spray and earplugs. Team were very friendly and breakfast was great.

Streaky bacon has no part to play in a full English breakfast ugh!

Very friendly welcome when we arrived. Loved being given a flask of fresh milk for the room. Our room was spacious, warm and well equipped. The fresh coffee, cafetiere and shortbread are all lovely touches. The products in the bathroom are great quality. The complimentary pillow spray is such a nice touch and the bed was really comfy too. Our room was situated road side and we could hear the road traffic quite early in the morning.

Our room was too warm and we couldn’t seem to turn down the heating. We didn’t however ask at reception and it certainly won’t prevent future visits.

Dog friendly, beautiful location. Nice check in with milk offered for the room. Lovely breakfast, plentiful parking and spacious rooms.

I booked the inn from the photos on the website, as the rooms looked lovely and cosy, and I know it is subjective, but I was given a room with tiled floor, not carpet, which is ok if you’re in Spain or Greece, not a cosy English inn though. Also, there were no bedside lights, so the only light source was the main wall lights, which gave a very flat, drab light and made the room not a particularly welcoming place to be. Again, a bit subjective I know, but disappointing. You also only have the main light switch which is unreachable from the bed. So I would avoid the room “Langley”.

Staff are excellent, very friendly and hospitable, and a nice bar area. I was chatting to the Chef and took his recommendation of the cod cheeks - absolutely sublime, one of the nicest meals I have had for long time. The breakfast (smoked salmon and scrambled eggs), was also excellent,
