The Hotel could have been open for one thing! having travelled for 1.5 hours, we arrived to find that it had been closed and turned into an asylum centre. I have then had multiple messages asking for payment. eventually I got a message from the hotel at 17.28pm saying that the booking had been cancelled. still the messages come for payment. Dreadful service from hotel and booking.com ruined weekend and many costs. what are booking.com going to do to restore our expenses and trust!

Twin room and while the beds were clean mine had a caster missing. We paid extra for breakfast £10 each it was appalling we complained but was still charged. The hotel is apparently in the process of being renovated which should have been mentioned when booking as quite a bit was shut down

    Location and parking excellent

Shower was poor water pressure, Room walls are too thin as you can hear everything from adjoining rooms. I was kept up from 23.00 - 01.45 one evening with a neighbouring room guest talking on phone for hours. The reception staff did come up and advise the guest, he stopped after approx 20min from being aware. The following evening i heard it again however it stopped much earlier. Room was freezing when i arrived as all radiator valves where shut to the fully off position. Restaurant was not open which was a shame.

The windows are single glazed and allow the street noise of people going into/out of town to disrupt sleep (at 4am !). There was no heating. There is no thermostat, I was told to open the radiator control to have heating. This was too tight to turn, -hence no heating. The door handles, doors, and all surfaces in the room were 'sticky'. The room also had a slight, odour of smoking.

The property was easy to find

the room was not worth the amount i paid, no heating was working - cold and sheets were thin, some windows had no blinds or they were broken. The bathroom at first looked clean but given a second look not good at all. The room was very dated and you could tell the sheets had been used for a long time.

parking only, no facilities and it looks like they have been renovating for years

Poor breakfast taste of food. Bar on terrace closed Sat night at or before 9.45pm as no staff to man it even though brochure said bar open until 11.00pm on Saturdays.

Room clean and spacious. Cooked breakfast had minimal taste. Location was excellent, near River Ouse, not far from Cambridge, used high speed Busway to get there

Filthy rooms, out dated and unsecure. You cannot expect people to sleep in rooms full of mould, other peoples dirt and hair. Informed keys were stolen from some of the rooms, my window handles were very wobbly and the back door had no key to lock and unlock the door as it had been stolen. Staff nice but the manager quickly denied all knowledge of my complaint. I was very nice about the whole thing but informed them it was too unclean and unsecure for a young woman to stay there!

I would rate the room excellent. I was given a room with a view as a free upgrade since it was available. The room was clean, had free coffee and tea with a selection of biscuits so that was a bonus. I enjoyed the drink on the terrace. I would definitely recommend.

    1. No body on duty during the night to deal with very noisy, drunk guests banging on doors trying to gain access. 2. Very limited food menu ie. pizza or pizza. 3. Very slow breakfast service caused by the awkardness of guests in No.1 above.

Staff quite helpful and sympathetic to the shortfall of facilities.
