The weather but that wasn’t their fault. Beautiful location right by the river would be an amazing stay if the weather had been kinder.

Remodeled old and charming pub and inn in the countryside along a river. Pub very cozy with warm and welcoming staff. Dinner very good. Toffee pudding was amazing. Room was good size with comfortable furniture. Claw foot tub/shower in beautiful remodeled bath. Cooked to order included breakfast.

The room was a little small. I believe we were above the kitchen so had the drone of the extractor fan. Didn’t bother us too much but could others. Shower could do with somewhere to put soap/shampoo etc. nothing major

The Fox is in the most beautiful setting and near to many places of interest. A wonderful welcome and very attentive staff throughout our visit. Comfy beds for a restful nights sleep. Great food served during breakfast and evening.

The unexpected price of wine and drinks was rather OTT, even when in the bar (rather than the restaurant).

The location is so quiet in a wonderfully tranquil setting. The food was superb with perfect presentation, like "nouvelle cuisine" but with generous portions. The attic room had a nice surprise in the form of a spacious and well equipped room and a terrace which overlooked the garden and stream which flows gently through the grounds.

A very minor point - we found the lighting in the room a little dim. Everything else was lovely.

Location: beautiful small Cotswold village a few miles from Burford. Room: lovely with river view and great facilities, and very comfortable bed. Pub: lovely atmosphere and fantastic food - we had dinner and breakfast. The manager was particularly welcoming, friendly and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend!

Gorgeous property with lovely views. We had a room with a balcony that looked over the stream which was wonderful. We arrived early and received a warm welcome, and the offer to try and fit us into the restaurant if we hadn’t already booked. The room was ready and we were shown to it with the offer of help with our bags before we went for a walk around the area/ fields. We had a roast dinner and pie for Easter lunch and the food was outstanding, breakfast also delicious. The staff were incredible and we would highly recommend staying here to anyone wanting a getaway.

There was a smell of drains in the walkway between the restaurant & pub, and also the same smell in the en-suite bathroom which lingered into the bedroom. I am aware there's been a leak within the property and the owners were having work done to fix this.

Amazing breakfast - could have done with more than 1 sausage and bacon but very tasty and great quality ingredients. Fantastic & friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us :) Great selection of beers & wines.

Staff were lovely on arrival, everyone we met was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, nicely decorated, with comfy bed. The food was so tasty in the restaurant below too.
