Excellent location close to Hull. Comfortable rooms and dog friendly. Also has a woodland walk not far up the road excellent for evening dog walks.

The only thing we found not so good was the fact the window frame needs replacing

We loved the location. It was very quiet. Our room was lovely and we had everything we needed. The staff were extremely helpful. My dietary requirements were fully met. The food was really lovely and well presented. It was great to have so many sockets in the room, including USBs..

The bathroom could have been cleaned better, the bath and floor were dirty. The bathroom looks tired, could do with freshening up and there is/has been an issue with the ceiling at some stage. The toilet cistern trickles and refills constantly so if you are a light sleeper this may effect your sleep. Car park has limited availability and was busy when we arrived.

The property is situated not too far from the dual carriageway. The pub was great, we ate in the restaurant area, the staff were attentive and there was light entertainment in the evening. We asked for extra beverage facilities for the room, which caused no issue. The food was delicious and a good sized portion which meant value for money. The room was clean, not located over the pub but in a stable conversion adjacent to the car park which meant if you retired early the pub noise does not effect your enjoyment of the room. Accessed by a single flight of stairs, the room is spacious, well laid out, and sympathtically decorated. I liked the lighting behind the headboards, it made a freshing change away from harsh exposed bulb side lights.

Not as clean as last time. The stairwell to my room had trodden chips in the carpet and were still there 3 days later when I left. Also an unpleasant smell in the stairwell.

    Staff friendly and attentive

Lovely pub in a beautiful location. Easy for the main roads but quite rural feeling.

The room could do with a deep clean, expecially the bathroom, get rid of the black mould in the shower and the bathroom window needs either replacing or repairing

Room was just right for us, lovely comfy bed and nice linen. Food overall was very good both evening and breakfast.

No spare bedding and we couldn't get the radiator to work so were a tad cold. The entrance hallway to our room was quite grubby and tatty but once inside soon forgotten.

Bed was super comfy and I am quite fussy when it comes to mattresses. Room was clean, nice big cups rather than the tiny ones you normally get. Huge shower room. Staff were great and very accommodating. Parking on site

Dinner a disaster - very slow to be served and food only average. Thought food and especially beer rather expensive.

These aren't grumbles, just observations! The TV in the room was as big as a postage stamp.....which wasn't a problem as it didn't work anyway! We weren't bothered though, we were tired and had an early night. The bath was huge....a shame it would've taken a week to fill it as the water pressure was abysmal! We stayed in the room opposite a few weeks ago and didn't have that issue.

Our second stay at the Green Dragon, we arrived on a very busy Easter Sunday lunchtime. The staff were rushed off their feet, but still managed to be friendly and helpful. Our room was huge - a massive, comfy bed, dressing area and a bath with a shower. It was immaculately presented. We ate once the pub had quietened down a bit - we both had the beef Sunday roast, it was perfect! The beef was cooked to perfection, as was the veg (parsnips and red cabbage included....lovely!) and the Yourkshire puds were fantastic too. We paid £50 for the night, a real bargain!

It needs some money investing in it. Rotten windowsills, mouldy bathroom ceiling and noisy (although very pleasant) shower. The house keeping could be better too - dusty kettle and sticky/dirty drinks tray.

Staff were friendly and the food was good, we had breakfast and an evening meal and both were very tasty. Super comfy bed!
