The only thing we didn't like was that you couldn't store your luggage at the apartments. They did offer this service at the local newsagents on Micklegate at a small cost at £5.

It was our first time staying at the The Lawrence Luxary Appartments, so we weren't really sure what to expect, but we can honestly say they were fantastic. We stayed in a delux one bed apartment (number 24). It was like home from home. The apartment was spotlessly clean and located a few minutes' walk from the city centre. Check-in was really easy. Please note that there is no early check-in unless you pay an additional charge, which has to be booked in advance. There is a lovely little coffee shop located at the back of the apartment. All staff were really friendly. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Fantastic! We stayed in apartment number 9, a studio apartment set over two floors. The check in information was very clear and easy to follow. The apartment was warm, clean and comfortable. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. Would recommend for anyone wanting a base whilst exploring York. The apartments are in a gated area so it feels very safe.

Very minor niggle - if the door to the bedroom was hung to swing out, rather than in, it would make enterance/exit from the bedroom easier.

Excellent location close to the train station, which is ideal for parking. Very close to the town centre, easy walking distance. Huge appartment which was very clean. Very easy to check in/ out. Would have no hesitation in booking again.

No window, extractor fan needed for the bathroom. Please be aware, the bath was very slippy, no handles to get out safely.

Close to train station, bars, The Shambles, River Cruises, Ghost Tour Bus etc. Easy check in, apartment clean with everything you could need. We'd definitely stay again.

Constant fire alarms going off in the morning. Couldn't get the cooker to function and the numbers we rang didn't answer. .

Alleyway cut through means you will get the odd late-night group yapping past the apartment. Could do with a wider blind on the bedroom window to completely block out the street light.

Lovely layout to the apartment, huge comfy bed, great shower, easy to get from the station and to the city centre in a few minutes. Easy key collect and drop-off.

Absolutely perfect! Beautiful apartment close to the centre of York. It had everything I needed, the tea and coffee was a lovely touch. The bed was very comfortable and having a bath and a shower was really nice.

Disappointed with a few things relating to attention to detail. Tap in the kitchen had few scuffs/ limescale. Same with the kettle. Issues with TV channels not working. Cracks in the fridge draw/shelf. This did not ruin the stay, I just think when you are paying to stay in a 4 star, most things should be spotless.

Lovely clean apartment, easy check in. Everything you could need. Have been here many times previously and actually prefer these to the Tanner row apartments. Will definitely be back again!
