Everything was great.

The Metropolitan was a really lovely place to stay. Very clean, comfortable with a stylish spacious bedroom and en-suite. The owners Lee and Paul were very welcoming and all services were to a very high level. Breakfast was cooked to order with great choices and with quality ingredients. Location was perfect, a few minutes from the Metro and beautiful Whitely Bay. Would recommend as the perfect place to stay!

Nothing major - the ensuite was small in what was otherwise a spacy room.

Great breakfast, Paul and Lee accommodated our dietary needs very well. The place is fairly near the promenade, and also near various eating places.

Breakfast was delicious. Good choice and perfectly cooked. Clean rooms, everything you could need was in there! Friendly hosts and super location. Parking was a couple of streets away, but easy and no cost.

The water pressure in the shower was not the best however it was lovely and hot.

The Metropolitan was spotless and beds were comfy. The hot breakfast was cooked to order meaning it was hot and fresh. I was in a single room which was lovely. It was above the kitchen so if you are a light sleeper/want to sleep in I would recommend ear plugs. Paul and Lee were fabulous hosts making sure everything was great.

Could do with a long mirror in the room.

I had a lovely stay. I felt very welcome from the moment I checked-in! Although I would have been happy with a smaller room, I was upgraded to a double room which was lovely. It was really comfortable and well decorated. The room was nice, it had a decent shower, hairdryer, iron outside and lots of cushions for sitting watching TV.

Very friendly, rooms were lovely decorated and comfy, perfect location. Breakfast was lovely and a good choice too. Tables outside if it's nice weather sit and chill with a drink. Love the Banksy Rat on the stairs.

Everything was first class

When we arrived we were given a family room which was out of this world, everything about it was first class and very clean, we couldn't have asked for a better room if we tried. Paul and Lee couldn't do enough for us, they gave us information regarding places to visit and where to eat out at night. We were asked to fill out a breakfast request so that they new what we wanted to eat in the morning, the quality of the food was first class. We will certainly recommend 'The Metropolitan' to friends and family.

The room was basically spotless, had everything we would have expected and very stylish. Delicious breakfast and coffee. Everything was really nice and we were made to feel welcome with useful advice. This is my third time staying here and I would definitely do so again.

On street parking is free but it's very busy. If you can't get parked ask Lee or Paul and, if they haven't already done so for another guest, they will move their car and you can take their space :)

Lovely room with everything we wanted and more. Modern but with some lovely, quirky touches. Superb breakfast with wide variety of fruit, etc. Extensive folder with information on restaurants, things to do, etc. Lee also discussed personal recommendations when we arrived. Most importantly both Lee and Paul were so helpful and friendly. I really can't rate the Metropolitan highly enough.
