Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe room was quite hot so maybe a fan to be on offer as the sun does hit that room quite abit during the day. It was a squeeze in the bathroom and the shower head could only stay at the bottom as the part to tighten it onto the pole wouldn't work so washing my hair was abit awkward. Also the fan in the bathroom wasn't working when we stayed.
I loved the decor of the room, it was lovely and clean and in a great location. It had nice set up of teas, coffees etc on the side also and the bed was very comfy, had a great sleep.

Good location close to the station with an en-suite room in a former terraced house, all automated with entry codes so no staff on-hand which was fine for me, but clean and comfortable, with tea/coffee in the room - perfect for a no-frills overnight stay.

ThailandHad the old-fashioned thing of a kettle with a lead that won't reach the socket unless you put it on a chair, which was a little confusing.
Location was great and the code is extremely convenient. We just turned up late at night, went in, stayed the night and left the next morning, having breakfast at the Ibis hotel before we left.

United KingdomIt is true that the rooms and the toilets are not so big, but still sufficient, and more importantly, they actually match the product advertised on pictures, so absolutely no disappointment about this.
The rooms are decent and clean, highlighting the comfortable beds. Very appropriate quality/cost ratio. The location is great, so close to train station, and close of commercial areas such as Hills Rd and Mill Rd. Also access to city centre by a 15 mins walk. Overall, I would recommend the stay at The Norna.
